Hot toys body suit.....too less to be of the party? :wink1:

A question...
I'm not sure about the color of the mesh in esb. Black? Metal? Dark metal?

looks great. I think it might be metal. I know the mask that HURRICANE did for me the mesh looks metal don't remember what the color looked like on the ESB mask.

Yeah, I toned down the mesh on my Hurricane because it looks a bit bright. I think they leave it bright metal, but it felt like it should be more gunmetal.

So with the fragile nature of the sideshow Darth Vader tusks as well as the HT, I’ve been searching for an easy, semi expensive Vader tusk fix for about a year now. I’ve made my own out of metal slot car pieces and sewing pins but that was slightly expensive and frankly a pain to do. I’ve tried recasting the ones I have on my rogue one mask but the press mold I had didn’t work well and didn’t want to spend the money for the silicon kit on Amazon. Last week I actually broke and lost a tusk on my rogue one Vader helmet so I had to “double my efforts” today, I think I finally found the solution. They aren’t 100% accurate, as these are scale bolts. But they look pretty damn good once they’re painted.

No, I may make another vader down the line and didn't want to have this sitting in a drawer. My ESB vader is using the Kaiyodo mask

Sanded some length off of the neck on the mask. Could do with some more shortening, but then I might have the shorten the inner neck.

Outside of the dome is the stock finish. I did a light sanding on the inside of the dome, dabbed it with acrylic medium matte gel (to add texture), mixed with a little flat black, then dry brushed the inside with gloss black.

That looks amazing! Which body have you used ?

Mine looks like a pile of ***p . It's the one figure that I'd love to look right and I can't seem to get it anywhere close.

From the waist up, HT ANH. From the hips down, HT Roadblock.

Hello, there's some pretty awesome custom Vaders here which inspired me to fix mine, so I thought I'd share what changes I did to my Sideshow Collectables Darth Vader.

I pretty much done what has been done here, I swapped the SSC helmet/head for the Hot Toys and broke it into three pieces, using my dremel, I trimmed down the tabs on the inside so the helmet sat a little lower, I also did the eye lens mod with some chrome sheet placed on the inside of the helmet.

With the head complete, I then did a complete strip down and swap of the SSC one piece body suit to the Hot Toys three piece, I also swapped out the inner tunic and cape for a custom set which I purchased on eBay.

With some trimming here and adjustments there I can call this done and personally, I like the changes and my Vader is no longer cringe worthy.

This always confuses the hell out of me, I'm a video kind of guy....pictures, i need pictures because I don't know what these products are. Very excellent work, though. Impressive.
