Based on the price and bare-bones nature of the Gunner, I doubt that the control panel was anything more than a prop at the shows. Can't see something that large being included with the DS trooper.

Yeah, that price on the Gunner is disappointing but not unexpected. That means that this one won't include the control panel or (possibly) will be at the very least $259 if the control panel is included. That would suck. I don't want him at all without the panel, but I'm not sure I'd want him with the panel if the cost is indeed that high or higher. Those are the breaks.

Really nice looking figure. It's probably my least favorite OT imperial trooper (always thought of them as eggheads) but I love the Vader-esque shirt and they nailed the look, so may grab this. I like this HT trooper (along with the snowie) is still sticking close to the even $200 pricepoint - not experiencing the Sideshow "price creep."

However, the 18 months to 2 year lead time from reveal (mid 2016) to ship date (Mar 2018) is close to being in line with the wait-forever model Sideshow has adopted with its figures.

Why? These guys didn't just stand at control panels, they operated turbolasers too.

I always saw these guys as prison guards more than control operators. The control panel should come with the guy who says: where are you taking this thing?

I am confident that the console will be included. $234.99. I would like to get a pair as well, but I don't like the idea of twin crew members.

Maybe they'll do a single with one head and the deluxe with console with different head. That'd be sort of perfect but we haven't seen any evidence of that.

Console or not, this is a figure I've always wanted...can't believe he never got done in all these years. Almost as iconic as the Stormie from ANH, imo

I just noticed that some of the promo pics have the quilted leather shirt and some have a flat cloth shirt like on the death star trooper.
