I wouldn't write this guy off yet, like others are saying he's OT and can be trotted out at any time for guaranteed sales (like many others I would buy two, one on each side of Tarkin....hopefully he comes with two different heads rather than look like a clone). I mean the proto is done already so anytime they feel like it they can just go into production, maybe when they start to run out of characters because lets face it they will never go down the alien route like SS has.

Only reason I can think of for postponing it is, like anybody or any company, they got busy with other projects. Unlike some of the other figures they’ve shown and scrapped its a no brainer that it’d sell really well.

Yep, we're only at the start of this relatively large gap until the next Star Wars movie. I think they're going to fill that with PT and OT figures.

Perhaps they think that with the added console, he'll be too rich for most and won't be as profitable.

That's getting steep. I would still get one but it would probably need to have different head sculpts to get two. I always kinda thought with console it would be $249 to $259 tops. But whatever i just want the damn figure.

That’s what I’d think/want as well but it’s almost like the Emperor’s throne (not as intricate) which I could see them hitting collectors up for an extra large chunk of change. I still really want this to be made and disappointed that it’s not displayed at the con.

Yeah I see what your saying about the Emperor's throne. I'm hoping the fact that it's a random guy will help keep the price a bit lower though. I'm with you 100% this and Bespin Lando are my two biggest wants. At least we haven't seen a Lando this just sucks because we saw it for 2 years and now nothing.

It's frustrating that there seems to be no reasoning as to what they produce and when. AOTC 3PO GTFOH. Ugh! Maybe there's a giant wheel with all the characters on it and they spin it and wherever it lands is what they produce next? haha
