That was in "Boba Fett: Enemy of the Empire" I think, IIRC what ended up happening was they kinda fought to a draw and when Fett saw his opportunity to slip away, he did so. Because he isn't actually stupid enough to think he could BEAT Vader, the guy that wrecks AT-ATs by merely gesturing at them. But they did have a beef, so... Fett is many things, but stupid is not one of them.

Notice also that Vader did not outright kill Fett when he had the chance, and he easily could have done so. Whereas he would have killed Bridger had he not been distracted....

This is all academic anyways. If Bridger has fans, fine. I just dont want him and his compadres taking over "Mandalorian," give this bunch their own show and leave us Mando fans in peace.

Too late for that. Am actually dreading watching this week's episode wondering which Filoni/rehash contamination it will be this week. At this point I'd welcome more Boba with open arms, 'coz a least it wouldn't be a retread.

And Ezra Bridger is a fav of mine but if I wanted to rewatch Rebels I would.

Unfortunately as another post mentioned there are LA port staff shortages or something, at least in the U.S., - I've gotten delay notices from SSC - so guess it's time to build new shelves or something. I thought my 1/10 IW statue collection would be complete months ago. Am really gonna cherish my Mandos V1 - who knows when things will settle re shipping.

If the sequel trilogy is so unpopular can't they just retcon it out existence or at least to an alternate timeline? Halloween did it with all the sequels to the 78 original starting again with the 2018 movie.

As a latecomer to all things Star Wars I've only seen the original trilogy and The Mandalorian so far. Don't think I'll inflict the sequels on myself. Probably watch Clone Wars next.

This is Favreau's show, I guarantee you he's on board with pretty much all of this. Ahsoka and Bo-Katan showing up makes perfect sense anyway since they are both directly connected to each other and Mandalore itself.

I just dont know the complains about the GUEST characters, the show is about Djinn Djarin, but it is necessary for him to meet other people to be interesting, i think Bo Katan and Ahsoka were episodes to test audience for a new trilogy using Filoni characters maybe this is the project that Taika is working on.
They can make the new movie trilogy about the 30 years before TFA remaking the "Heir to the empire, Dark empire, Dark Empire II and Empire's End" using Snoke as the clone instead of Palpatine.

It's a question of degree. IMO it's not a good idea to lard up your supposed new environment/new character show until the new characters are well established. Something the MCU understood; DC did not, and the ST had its own writing and editing issues.

Also compared to Carl Weathers and Favreau at this point I question whether Filoni should be left to write and direct by himself in film media, tho maybe predictably since it's his background he has excellent visuals.

But the rumor mill is churning that Disney is giving Ahsoka her own show, so her fans maybe can rejoice. And, you know, get figs. Personally I'd be happy if there was at least a HINT of Cara.

True. But this Mandalorian series was developed under a cloud - TFA was notorious for so much rehash, and then there was poor handling of the various OT characters. IMO if any franchise needed a fresh start to even survive, it was SW. And that includes moving past Clone Wars and Rebels.

IMO the last thing they need to do is a lot of retreads, and this season seems to be slipping. A little fan service is one thing, hijacking a show into a sequel for some character another.

Well Mando is sort of supposed to be this Clint Eastwood-style enigma, so I don't see that there's anything further they need to establish with him. And it still feels very much like his story, regardless of whether some fan favorite like Ahsoka or Bo-Katan shows up.

Personally I think the show is still firing on all cylinders and don't see anything that really needs fixing or correcting.

Thanx for this. Tripped over some old Quora posts - didn't know Filoni' s Ahkosa thing went WAY back. One described her as a black hole Sue and that no matter what he'd bend a story around her, even invented time travel in SW because he couldn't stand to kill her off.

Fast forward tho and Abrams goes "hold my beer" and ressurects Palps from space dust.

Being Star Wars, there will always be existing characters that show up, and I guess it comes down to what you personally want to see - and that can depend on your connection to these characters. I have an involuntary cringe when something from the PT shows up, but they're using it as seasoning - tying the lore together, so I can live with it. They're not going to please everyone. At the moment I'm ok with the sprinkling of existing characters that have been popping up. Mainly because they are in "supporting" roles. But seriously, those few minutes of Michael Biehn's character in the recent episode were terrific in giving an unknown (I guess?) a pretty cool chunk of action and personality. More new characters please
Except that blue guy. He's kinda annoying in the wrong way.

I'd bet Dune is one of those characters Hot Toys is going to push off as long as possible if only for the fact her body is anything but standard. Do they want to make entirely new body pieces for this character, like Thanos, Terminator etc? Ahsoka's a new headsculpt and costume. Dune is at least new arms, upper torso/neck. She looks even thinker in season 2 than in 1. They can use a bodysuit for her thighs and waist, but not the rest. They tend to drag their feet on characters that need more than stock bodies don't they, and female characters too?

Everyone has a different opinion about which of growing number of neglected Mandalorian characters should be made. But the bigger concern is the lack of any on the horizon, with only Moff Fring even getting a tease. Has Hot Toys lost all their sculptors?
