Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

100% agree with this. Ezra Bridger was, for me, THE WORST part of Rebels. Idk what his fanbase is like, but I just can't get on board with him. The character already annoyed me, then him becoming a Jedi made him even more annoying. Maybe he could be better/corrected as a live action version of himself but that will be a hard sell for me.

Every time I even see him, I see him in my mind's eye cowering and whimpering at Vader's feet again. SOME force to be reckoned with! OR NOT. I am not even a little impressed with him. And he has, for some reason, a fanbase that thinks that he uses only golden toilet paper. I dont get it. What has he done thats so great? Rhetorical question only.

So I was actually YESSSSSSS VADER, FINISH HIM

Momaw: Ezra > Boba

#triggered

I will lob that right back atcha with, at least Boba dared to stand upright in Vader's presence, and conversed with him like an equal. Vader respected him. Hired him multiple times, and valued what he had to say.

But Bridger? Even Ahsoka Tano is more of a man than he is.

*bows, shows self out*

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

No not just you. They made it really loud. I recall on some ILM behind the scenes documentary for Rogue One they did the same for Vaders lightsaber in that hall scene at the end. Makes a more impressive "entrance".

What got me though was the sound of the sabers when moving. They didn't have that hum that the movie ones had.

They've used a different sound. Maybe because they're white ??

It's the same sound as Rebels and it's the same as the sound in Galaxy's Edge Ahsoka hilts.

Yes, I wonder what the next steps for Ahsoka will be. Surely she'll have to be involved with any Darksaber action. Although theoretically Din could take him on with the Beskar spear himself.

So regarding skills, and why he ended up with a spear. Anyone remember Pedro Pascals fight in Game of Thrones ????

That did not end well for him though :rotfl

Well I was just making a joke for a bit of fun, but since you wanna go there :wink1:, Ezra actually stood up to Vader in a lightsaber fight telling him to his face he wasn't afraid of him. And while Vader promptly dispatched him (rescued from death by Ahsoka), actually crossing blades with Vader shows way more spine than Boba has ever shown. Still feel confident about that triumphant bow? :lol

I am not sure whether Ezra was aware of Vader's capabilities.

Somewhat aware, Kanan and Ezra drop some walkers on him that blow up and he just walks out unscathed and they poop their panties.

I must be getting mellow in my old age. What's wrong with Bridger?

I knew someone would say that !! But he's at least good for all the baton twirling and bling !

Wonder if he'll have his helmet off by then ??

Nothing imo, he starts as a whiny little kid (much like Ahsoka) but he grows and matures over the series I find him quite likeable by S3/4.

Exactly what I thought, it was a nice character arc.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

So Gideon is tracking the Razorcrest because he needs the child for the "M's" but Din just led him right to Ahsoka, who's looking for Thrawn. Who also has the entire Seventh Fleet and possibly has Ezra captured. I hope they just go down this road they're building and just go "left" and not worry about the Saga timeline. I know they said it'd eventually lead to the beginnings of the First Order but damn, I don't need the ST retconned, rebooted, revisited or anything. Just ignored and left to be forgotten:lol

Dude the Clone Wars did not retconned, rebooted, revisited or anything the PT just like Rebels did not do the same to the OT
Who knows if Mandalorian is actually the "expanded content that makes things better just like clone wars and rebels" to the ST

You seem to be mistaken. Clone Wars helped make the PT a lot more tolerable to fans and a lot more people are fans of them because of it. It absolutely CONNECTS the PT because it's what ties Episodes 2 and 3.

And Rebels was leading into the Rebellion from the OT and all of the designs are tied into the OT. So again, the OT helped Rebels and vice versa. They ARE connected.

After a full season and a half, this show still has nothing to do with the First Order yet. I understand that's what we were told originally, there's still 15 years left before The Force Awakens timeline, so there's plenty of time for Favreau/Filoni to still make reasonable changes, depending on how they feel about their story.

Huh? I know people were assuming this early on, but I don't remember anyone official saying this was going to tie into the ST. And I don't see any reason why they would need to either.

And I certainly doubt Favreau or Filoni would want to retcon out an entire trilogy, regardless of how they may personally feel about it.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

They confirmed it was shortened for stunt work. Honestly the amount of people complaining and whining about this on social media is laughable. God forbid you get a great live action representation of the character but it's the end of the world because her lekku was too short. :cuckoo:

Hope HT does a figure of her. I doubt they'll pass on the opportunity.

All the Favreau interviews before the show started was literally him saying that this show was going to explore how First Order got started. He definitely said it and it's not just people assuming.

And I made it a point to say I don't want them to retcon out the ST so that's a discussion for somebody else.

Come on HT, really slacking on the Mando reveals whilst it's in the spotlight. 5 weeks in and one 1/6 scale figure PO.

Somewhere in the EU, didn't Boba Fett actually beat Vader in some kind of duel or fight? Because Boba Fett? :lol
