Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

You're quite forgiving of the said psychopath. The same one that strung up a cop and disemboweled him, cut another one's head open and ate his brains in front of him, and cut a presumably innocent and law-abiding dude's face off to escape a facility he was being held in? The one that cut the femoral artery of a random person he noticed following him and quietly left to die? The one who was happy to feed human brains to a child on a plane?

Thats why i said MANY of the people he killed were awful. Not all of them.

The guy whose femoral artery he cut had sold him to Mason Verger, his worst enemy. No big loss. As far as the kid on the plane, i try to forget that movie exists, as much as i can. That is not what happens in the book. In the book, he ends up being actually pretty kind to the child. He is, after all a child and Hannibal has nit forgotten being one himself.

But this is not about Solo, whom I have nonetheless labeled as a drug runner and a thief, who also worked for a Vile Gangster and is a casual killer to boot, although it can be argued we haven't seen him kill anyone other than vile criminals and fascist soldiers.

He is still a criminal, though. One of those annoying people who always land on their feet, who get to marry the princess regardless of their actual worthiness. We have all known at least one such.

My point is code or no code, regardless of how he sees himself, Boba Fett is evil.

He is an amoral opportunist, but not completely evil. This is one of the things that makes him fascinating.

:rotfl ... so if you only kill one or two good people you can still be an antihero? Maybe in the strictest definition of the term, but it still makes me laugh. And gives me the willies.

Never read the books. I just think Lecter is a bad man. :lecture

Well he didn't land on his feet after his own son skewered him. :lol

I'll have to ponder your definition, but I suspect you're more forgiving than I am. As of now I still think he's evil. A total **** actually.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

I'd like Fennec (love her helmet) and Boba. I don't think Greg, Cara, or Fennic are likely though. Cobb either with Boba now.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Honestly, I may have to cut down my collection to just Clone Wars and Mandalorian stuff, since I only have two detolfs worth of space :lol

Same here, seems to be what my collection has heavily gravitated towards. I have all the OT figs I want except snowspeeder Luke, and missing a trooper from Rogue one but all in on the Mando line, and a lot of CW.

Yeah...Fennec, and Cara (I had hope but it?s dwindled) are not likely. Bo Katan is a matter of time. Probably after Moff Gideon is announced which has to be any day now

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Humanoid. She was shot in the gut and left for dead. Boba apparently saved her - sort of like Luke getting a new hand, her intestines got replaced with cyber parts. How Boba pulled that off is unknown. Maybe same folks that helped him after the Sarlacc as his face looks scarred up.

Judging from the books, healthcare in the SW universe is everywhere, its excellent and its either free or very reasonably priced, for the most part. As far as Fett himself, the Slave 1 has a medical droid and some medical capability, i have no doubt he could have stabilized her well enough to get her somewheres with a higher level of care.

The one exception i can think of is Vader. His care after the injuries he received on Mustafar was.... Not all that hot, by his own estimation and his armor is a continual grief to him. It doesnt fit well, and it gives him claustrophobia. Im torn between pity and well, thats what you get for being you. This being someone who has offed a roomful of children AND entire planets, after all.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

I don't think that'll happen.

Why not? HT churned out those EG time machine figs. Don't see why they wouldn't want to tap into the unbearable desire of collectors to complete the rescue posse.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Fennec has a proto praetorian helmet. Maybe she and Boba later has a hand in training them and encouraging their jousting helmet design.

Keep reaching, just a little higher.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

I'll be astonished if HT gives a tier 3 female cult character (that very few had actually given a second thought to until she re-appeared in the series this season) the 1/6 treatment. It's just not how they (generally) roll. I hope to be astonished, though.

I get that this is a hot property right now, but Hot Toys hasn't got a good track record of meeting fan demands. Particularly the kind of committed fans on this board.

The EG time heist figures were from a truly massive event, years in the making, and they were probably cheaper to make.

Based on what I've seen, HT will leave this line incomplete.

I want to disagree with you because I want the "rescue posse" (as someone else earlier coined them) on the shelf, but you're absolutely right. I'd say even the Endgame figures validate your position. What is Fennic if not Mantis or Scarlet Witch or Valkyrie? None of those characters have been made and don't seem likely anytime soon. Heck, even the Time Heist suit figures look like they may be a one and done with only Tony pre-ordered and Cap and War Machine previewed. That group together on a shelf would've been a great visual, but we'll never get it. I assume we'll get Fett at some point, although unsure if it'll be the bathrobe armor version or the version we'll see in the next two episodes (I'm hoping for a DX!). I think we'll see the return of Bo Katan this season and I think that'll equal a figure. I'm no longer confident we'll get a Greef or Cara at this point, but Cara's involvement in the rescue should help. I am somewhat optimistic in the fact that they'll have nearly a full calendar year between seasons to continue to bring new Mando characters up for pre-order, but then they throw a Batman and batcycle out in the midst of Mando-mania... They are a puzzling little company to say they least...

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Desperation at this level is astounding.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Yeah that is an absolute no. The helmet has a passing resemblance because it?s red at the top and has a pointed face guard?

Boba Fett was always independent and this acid etched, sand worn revival of him even more so. I can?t see him working with the First Order nor would I ever want that.

His figure is inevitable. Fennec seems unlikely though I think they?d produce a very good Ming-Na sculpt.

I think a clean Remnant Stormtrooper is likely now that the brown one snd the RotJ Stormtroopers have pretty much sold out. Mortar trooper as well, depending on how the Incinerator sells.

Dark Troopers would be awesome and I hope it happens. If they can do K-2SO, I think they can do Dark Troopers.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

I think Fennec Shand could be likely due to Ming Na Wen's Chinese heritage. I know she is American but her parents were Chinese. Looks at Chirrut Imwe, they even gave him a fancy box and everything.

Were that the only factor, they would’ve automatically made Baze Malbus to go with Chirrut due to Jiang Wen’s ethnicity, but they did not.

And the Jyn deluxe figure had the same “fancy” box style as the deluxe Chirrut. The standard Chirrut had the standard Hot Toys box.

I always thought he was Taiwanese for some reason. They did at least prototype him, but I wonder why they never released him. Could be down to either HT or Disney/Lucasfilm.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

It’s a shame they didn’t.

Would be nice to see a Chirrut/Baze two pack for a future Rogue One anniversary.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

I think that we'll see a new Boba Fett, Moff Gideon and more Trooper variations. Possibly Jawas as well, as they should be an easy variation to do. Oh, and more Mandos, as his armor gets upgraded, battle-damaged, repainted, etc...

I would love to see a Baze release but I would then kick myself in the arse for selling off most of my "Rogue One" figures...

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

I'm guessing they have plans for Fennec Shand to also be part of the Boba Fett spin-off, so if that happens it should improve the chances of HT making her figure.
