Re: Boba Fett in Mandalorian Season 2 - New figure Coming?

Man, even if we already assumed it to be happening, it's still a bummer that they officially spoiled his return like that instead of keeping it a surprise like the reveal of Baby Yoda.

Oh well. I will say, even though I never cared much for the new voice and backstory Lucas gave him, it will be cool to see Morrison playing the character since he brought so much presence to Jango.

Re: Boba Fett in Mandalorian Season 2 - New figure Coming?

Maybe clones age differently haha

This is the show that has a 50-year-old baby don't forget. :nana:

But it's already fact that clones age at twice the rate of a normal human in order to grow them and have them battle ready as quick as possible, he'd be 41 by this point, making his body that of an 82 year old.

Re: Boba Fett in Mandalorian Season 2 - New figure Coming?

Like a society that has mastered artificial gravity and travelling through hyperspace couldn't genetically engineer a solution to the clone aging problem...

Re: Boba Fett in Mandalorian Season 2 - New figure Coming?

Even then he?d still have the body of a man in his 70?s, so even if he is still alive I can?t imagine what kind of role he would play.

Re: Boba Fett in Mandalorian Season 2 - New figure Coming?

He?ll be the one holding a smoking blaster after Boba Fett is killed at crucial point.

?Little brat always was a wanker.?

70-year-olds can still aim and shoot just fine.

:lol

I think you just found a new advertising slogan for Viagra.

Clone advanced aging was a solution and not a problem, so no reason for them to solve the 'problem.'

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

Now that HT confirmed realistic portraits, I think we can add the following figures to this speculation that are guaranteed a figure release from this show:

Boba Fett
Ashoka (Dawson likeness)
Darth Maul

Captain Obvious signing off.

Yes totally. An older Boba Fett version from the Mandalorian could be sweet. You could probably add old Rex to the list as well, as Filoni posted a pic of them together. Doesn't necessarily mean he will show up, but chances are higher I guess.

The first live action Ahsoka is going to be massive. I really hope they go for the Gandalf cloaked look.

Darth Maul would only be possible in the potential (ok let's say inevitable) Ahsoka stand alone show, if I have my timeline correct in my head. However they would need to do another version if that does in fact happen, as his legs did look different to the Solo version.

Re: Boba Fett in Mandalorian Season 2 - New figure Coming?

Rex will be 82 physically, can't see him showing up honestly.

You should see the crap about all this on FB. According to half of FB, the focus of this show is now going to shift to Ahsoka and she will be dragging Rex along with her because... why not. Rex would be far too old for all this.

Yes, Rex "has to appear" and he'll manifest first in a series of Ahsoka flashbacks and... I just cant with all this! It makes absolutely no sense. I am amazed at the amount of anti-Fett sentiment and the "omg that can't be who it is, it has GOT TO BE REX." "HOW can we have Ahsoka without Rex?!" I dunno, but this show is not about Ahsoka. She's guest-starring. [I think?]

We have a show about a bounty-hunter, about bounty-hunting in general and also featuring an alien kid with a giant bounty on his head. Who in all the SW universe likes giant bounties more than just about anyone? Who's most likely to show up? An elderly Clone Wars soldier? I doubt it. That giant bounty will serve as chum for one of the galaxy's biggest predators, and he flies a Firespray. I am guessing he'll cameo at the end of the season and we'll spend six months fretting about some giant cliffhanger.

Fett and Mando are gonna cross swords, bet on it. This is gonna be interesting.

With that said, you know we'll be getting a show version of Fett and HT is probably even now working on it. *sighs*

Which show you're talking about ?

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

It may seem crazy now but lets not forget how badly much of the PT was received when those movies came out and now look how their images are being revised by fandom.

I think the reason for that is fairly obvious. The ST just didn't create a big enough fan base to further that view of the Star Wars universe and thus, subsequent shows, products, etc, are not in demand.

Re: Speculation : Hot Toys Disney+ Figures "The Mandalorian" + "Cassian" + "Kenobi"

How old is Fett supposed to be during this time frame btw?

He was 10 in AOTC, so he'd be about 42 by this point. That's probably about the same age as Din Djarin.

Because he's an unaltered clone of Jango then he wouldn't suffer from the same aging issues as the other clones.

Its basically that, the fanbase of star wars is a close door, the core fans only like original trilogy content and dismiss all other content, thats why the fanbase dont grow like the marvel universe, and thats why there are no demand for products, the fans still buys stuff but just the fans is not enought to sustain the market like hasbro for example.
Its like what happened with the whole cinematic universe of DC, they wanted Nolan Bats and Reeve Supes back, they wanted Ledger Joker over Letto Joker, they critics the new vision because they could not leave the past where it belongs, in the past. Aquaman and Wonder Woman dont have a past icon so they did just fine in the audience.

That's not strictly true. There's a massive fanbase out there for the Old Republic stuff for example. I'm sure a lot of people, original trilogy purists included, would love to see the likes of Revan, Traya, and Bane brought to the screen. A lot of those guys also really like The Clone Wars, even if they're not the biggest PT fans. They're just not prepared to accept sub-standard uninspired films like what Disney served up with the sequel trilogy. The fact is if it's high quality, respectful, and enjoyable then most fans will buy into it regardless of what era it's set in. You could argue that the ST, while fun at times, was none of those things. The original trilogy fans shouldn't be blamed for the lukewarm reception the ST received, or for Disney not exploring other eras.
