I actually think its alot better and balanced they are alternating between both trilogies for those who are interested in both, at least you KNOW which trilogy the next release is coming from.
Problem is its moving at the speed of watching paint dry...

Hate to be negative(and hopefully Anakin is a great figure and will change my mind), but it seems like this is just a speedbump offering making us wait longer for Solo.

We have a HT Luke, I wish HT would just go down the line...Han, Leia, Chewie, Old Ben... then they can do whatever they want PT. The only PT I'm interested in is stuff we haven't seen (ie.Grievous).

If they did do that everyone would buy there figures like hot cakes then as soon as they hit PT there would be thousands of worthless figures laying around they cant sell. It all comes down to milking the line as far as they can.

The pt might not be as popular as the ot but I think thats a fairly over exaggerated assumption.
Im pretty sure there is alot of people actually looking forward to this release.

I think its more of the wait between figures that causes the annoyance. If they came out with 2 figures a year, one OT and one PT, I don't think I'd mind as much. But seeing as how by the time Anakin is released, it'll be closer to 2 years between figures, the fact that the second release is Anakin is a wasted opportunity, IMO.

I don't hate the PT, but seeing as how we're only getting 2 figures a decade from HT, I really feel the characters chosen should be the actual 'classics.'

Luke was a perfect first, even though I would have preferred a different look.

I wanted Solo next, and I'd definitely be interested how HT would handle Chewie.

I'd like to see Solo sooner than later too, but my budget's thanking the maker for the big gaps / delays regarding my want list currently.

For me personally it doesn't matter so much if they release figures from the OT first or the PT. I like both trilogies just as much so I don't have any special favorite.

What matters is that they release one figure per year as they said they would. Which is not going to happen, unfortunately. I wished they would pump out SW figures as much as they did with Iron Man and Predators.

But I am excited that they are releasing Anakin (since the Sideshow version is unacceptable to me) next as that was one of my most wanted figures. I also like how their first two releases are the main characters from each trilogy, it makes sense to me. I can understand though that since they released Luke, people would want HT to release the other main characters from that movie/trilogy to go with the Luke figure.

The other possible delay in the classic figures being released is the upcoming release of Ep VII, you know they will be pumping those figures out come 2015 to capitalize!!!
