I don't know if this been posted already. It seems like there will be two bodies.

News about Luke Bespin DX from the interview of Howard Chan by 501st Legion :

"Apart from movable eyes, two headpieces, two costumes and one Cloud City scene stands, Howard told Troop 501 a piece of exclusive news, the figure actually contains two Nos. figure bodies, both headpieces have movable eyes (Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS)). The aerial at the scene stand bottom is fixed into a positionwhich could be adjusted so that players could place the figure wherever even surface . Such friendly design will definitely captivate global Star Wars fans. Seeing that the final design is yet to confirm pending approval and modification, pictures of the figures could not be disclosed. Still, Howard hopes the figure would be ready to order in next few months and be launched the soonest in first quarter next year."

Yup. Been posted. Weve been speculating the cost of the DX now that it contains TWO full figures....

This is what happens when the term "Hot Toys" gets involved. Add that with Star Wars Fanboy OCD and it's a recipe for triple-x hardcore rectal retention. :monkey1

Guilty! :( Sorry guys, I really am, having to read someone else's ire is never a fun time - although about 99% of what I wrote was done with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Let's end it here.

To get back on topic, this is an incredible figure and I am hoping we don't get priced out by HT simply because it has an extra body - truth be told, I wish they did that with every DX release (at least, every DX with extra outfits like the Joker, Indy, etc.). I mean, if you're going to pack in an extra costume, the chances that a collector is going to change the outfit back and forth on the same body are pretty slim, especially given the delicate nature of certain HT costume elements, like the snaps. Just got the HT Scarecrow figure and WOW are the snaps fragile looking! And being the OCD bunch that collectors are, most people will either want to display both costumes or dump one on the secondary market. Most of us aren't the type to leave a perfectly good outfit lying around unused in a box. So I'm speculating that perhaps this move was done based on collector feedback? We'll have to check out future DX releases to see if a new trend begins to emerge.

Also, the antenna. I love that thing, but how are people planning to display it? It looks too large for conventional shelving, so are people going to stick it to...their ceilings?? I'm sure a lot of wives/girlfriends/partners will be impressed by that! :lol

I am hoping that it will fit into a Besta DVD case that I have that is 75 inches with a 75 inch Tombo glass door. Here is a picture of my planned 1/6 setup.

Whoa! That's some awesome display space! If you could figure out a creative way to rearrange your figs a bit, that center space where Thrawn is would look a-maz-ing with the antenna and Bespin Luke, hanging right below the television - no joke! Print off a backdrop with some Bespin clouds/sky and it would be a fantastic diorama.

WOW, two Lukes in one.

But will they give you two holsters as well?

I really hope so, because it would be such a disappointment to get two full bodies complete with two PERS heads, two outfits - but only one holster? Toy manufacturers often don't make sense with their decisions, but that one would be truly baffling...
