I really think you'd be a great politician, with the amount of back-pedalling you've done...
Uh, yes you have, several times...
Pretty sure we were sticking to facts?
How many Monty Python and Universal monsters figures can they make? There are only so many characters...
So they abandoned some lines that were crappy sellers, like LOTR - what business doesn't do that? For example, lots of toy companies have tried properties like Indiana Jones and failed. Medicom clocked in at 2 1/6 figs ( Indy and Dr. Henry Jones Sr.), Toys McCoy made Indy and reused a horse from another line for the arabian horse before throwing in the towel, and even HT is having mixed results before the first Indy fig even has been released, based on a poor prototype. SSC produced several Indy figs in the 1/6 line, which were met with mixed reviews, and have since stopped making further Indy figs, opting instead to make a single complimentary environement to what is likely to be a one-shot figure for HT - is it fair to use that as evidence that SSC is moving away from 1/6 figures? It doesn't necessarily follow that they've turned their backs on the format altogether, it means they stick with what sells. And you've done a fair amount of "Oh, I wasn't talking about this line, or that type of 1/6 product" to try to buttress your flawed argument.
That's a heck of an assumption, and erroneous at that...
You're calling me names and saying I don't rate in your book - how will I go on?
Oh no! You've uncovered my deep, dark secret! The fact that I rattled off a bunch of information that I could only have known if I were a long term collector means nothing...
Erm, then why are you in a thread dedicated to HT Bespin Luke arguing the point? Shouldn't you create a new thread called "Sideshow leaving the 1/6 format behind?" so you you can ACTUALLY be on topic with your enlightened opinion? Or is that above my "noob" head?
My feelings could only be hurt by someone who's opinion I respect, so I'm good, thanks!
