Does anyone know if the second Luke (battle worn?) can be displayed WITH his right hand intact? Looking at the picture I don't see how a hand can be swapped in with the stub, and personally I would like to display this figure battling Vader moments before his hand is cut off.

If I am forced to get two figures I want one posed gun drawn as we see Luke in the halls of cloud city and one engaged in a lightsaber duel with Vader. The missing hand is neat- but I don't want to be locked into it.

Does the whole hot toys forearm come off??

The sideshow version stump connected at the wrist. Not that I like that version or how the stump looks connected to the wrist, but it is easier to to see how the stump and hand is switched out.

If the conversations with HT has any indication on what we are likely to see coming soon it will be from ESB. That being said, I really hope it's a bespin han first with any accessories would be awesome. If they did a DX version it would probably be a bespin clean and a post torture/ post unfrozen carbonite Han with 2 complete figures.

What would be nice is if they gave us either a han in carbonite or a full Hoth outfit but we will probably see the above.

I would say Anakin or Maul are far more likely as the next DX candidate.

I wouldn't F the prequels but a HT Maul would be awesome. Personally, on top of my HT Star Wars wishlist is Luke Skywalker with his "Tatooine desert outfit" and the X-Wing Fighter outfit + 1/6 scale X-Wing Fighter.

Yeah, and if Hot Toys can't even make a 100% accurate Luke Skywalker HS then I wouldn't waste my time on SSC.

Well IMO this one is pretty dead on IMO.


SS has only just gotten better at 1/6 IMO. I have not gotten a 1/6 figure from them since Vader, Boba will be the first since then. But, they're not gonna be on par with HT no matter what. But, if an X-wing Luke is 99-120$ hey fine! (but i doubt it)

Mine too.... perhaps a bit too green, that's all. Could be paler.

But I agree -- SS would have a hard time getting their paint apps (on humans) up to speed with HT, regardless of the sculpt accuracy.

It all begins with how you cast these. Has to be translucent flesh colored resin to get those kinda paint apps HT has.
