I think HotToys should just make characters with faces, leave all the masked/alien/armored characters to SSC.

I'm glad Luke's delayed personally, now I can get him without doing the mad scramble to find the cash.

Interesting. For me I find it adds a ton more realism than static paint apps. I like that you can actually have Luke focus on an opponent as opposed to staring blankly straight ahead. Plus the painted eyes look very doll-like in most cases.

So having no Vader now while waiting for HT is better than having a Vader that's an inch too tall?

There's been a mod heavily circulated to fix that problem and bring Vader back into pretty good scale. The lack of detail is something else and really a POV.

Personally, in either case, I'd rather have neither and wait patiently than have a half-a$$ed version. Really hope SSC pulls out all the stops with the new Vader.

My only beef with the figure is the sculpted neck. I'd personally be alot happier with a head separate from the neck, to allow for greater poseablilty.

I know he's not missing much articulation, but that little bit granted by a separate head from a neck can add ALOT of personality to a figure.

The length it's taking for this figure to be released is the exact reason why HTs won't be releasing more than 2 SW figures a year. People shouldn't get their hopes up for a full fledged yearly SW line-up from HT.

And then after owning it for a couple years you can paint up the rips in the rubber to look like cuts! DOUBLE BONUS!

I will find a way (maybe) and I'll let you know. Is Bruce Lee's neck post different or something? I guess I should have done a little more research.

Yeah. The neck on Bruce is fixed to the body whereas the neck on Luke is fixed to the head. Making the Luke fit to the Bruce body would require some major surgery.

Hmm, well I originally bought the BL suit version for the extra body but then I thought I'd prefer a Dagobah Luke so that's why I have it. I dunno, I'll check out another body, I think Soldier Story might have something comparable. Maybe a little Frankenstein surgery is in order...maybe with a DX Jack Sparrow body?
