I'm in the same boat. I see a lot of Hamill (idealized, yes) in both sculpts and was happy enough with it I pre-ordered back in Feb as someone that wasn't even collecting SW 1:6 at the time. Personally, I suspect they kicked this release down the road so that they could focus on Avengers, Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises. I'd be really surprised if they went back to LFL with a change request when they already had approval. Seems like a waste of time on their end when there is not a Luke sculpt that comes close to theirs, IMO, in any format.

I hope so. I prefer my Luke Skywalker idolized, b/c no offense to Mark Hamill, he looked better before his accident. I see this figure as what Mark Hamill would have looked like if he had no accident.

Yup, same here. the most significant I can remember was their T1000 - proto pics had a really off likeness; final look pretty much dead on
