The clothes look soooooo bad, like really keep and I can see threading! The body shape also looks dodgy, sunken shoulders etc. This has to be fake, surely?

aaw shucks man, thanks!. Yup, I ****ed the stitching up on the costume, changed the fabric to look like a burlap sack, removed most of the battle damaged weathering,
after that I removed most of the paint and detail from the face app, then had a look and thought, no not ****ty enough yet, so I pulled the PERS back a bit from the sockets to make it look like a rubber animatronic *** doll.

Then I flew to the far east, took some pics then posted them online here, just for you. So a big thank you for appreciating all my hard work.

It's not the proto. The costume is completely different, as is the non BD head sculpt. It could be something entirely different (crap), but it's not the proto.

This is what i'm thinking/hoping. (Also wouldn't we have seen more pics by now this is supposed to be a hugely popular release? Surely there would be more by now) I say if we see no more pics for a week or so this is highly suspect. If it's supposed to be a simultaneous release like INDY shouldn't we still be waiting? Cause if it isn't overseas would have tons of pics by now!

yeah, I would be more positive about it but I'm afraid to say this is almost EXACTLY what happened with DX Indy.

Even this thread has become a carbon copy of the Indiana thread. People hoping & willing the images not to be correct.

(People like Butters going over and over with the same BS, "it's just bad pics", "wait for OMG's pics", "wait for inhand pics", "wait until I have it myself" etc) why? you can see the stitching and paint and PERS is crap?
then the bloody thing comes out and the very same people try to convince everyone that it's actually not that bad because they have paid a couple of hundred bucks for it.

I don't understand that mentality. These pics are clear, sure there may be some lens distortion and unflattering angles, but they show some major technical issues with the figure.
You can take pics with anamorphic HD film lenses but it won't make that stitching high quality,
or move those PERS correctly into the sockets of the sculpt.

Every bit of experience I have as a long time HT collector tells me this is the production model, as it did with the first Indiana Jones pics. I was right then but trust me I would really really love to be wrong about this.

Either way next set of pics should do it. I will cancel and eat the NRD if it looks like that, HT will not be pulling a SS on me!

I think it is more important to ask someone to go and take a glance at the HK Toy Hunter store since they usually would have replaced the proto with the production by now.

But if that is not the proto (it's not) what is it?
These are due to ship soon, which means 1000's of them are in their little cardboard shippers already.
Same thing as Indy

Who's photo's actually are they? And can someone with the originals not check the EXIF Data to see if the pics have been tampered with?

Personally, I just have never seen a HT release this bad, ever!
