I just did a live chat with UPS about the status of my Luke and Dark Knight and let's just say they were less than helpful.
The person just spouted the typical typed response about the "adverse weather" in the region, even though in MA it's been clear for the past 2 days.
I asked since the delay was their fault if they could deliver it over the weekend on Saturday, they don't deliver ground packages on the weekend was their response.
My package said end of day delivery, any chance I could get it at the start of day, whenever it's shipped,no was their answer.
Now my DX Luke and DX Dark Knight are going to sit in a ware house over the weekend and by the time they get delivered my Hot Toys Hawkeye might be delivered too, unless the "adverse weather" delays him too!
I wish Sideshow would use FEDEX!
Love your pics Oscorp!!
When I get my set, I'll be posing the pre-battle Luke in the Kenner Bespin Luke cardback pic, pose.
The 'blaster aimed' one.
Wow. Have never seen someone whine soooooooo much. They r figures. Just because weather is clear now it does not mean things are back to normal. People on the east can't even get food or gas aNd this is the us not some third world country. The transportation system of the whole country is affected by this storm. Over 13000 flights have been cancelled and people are still waiting to get home and are trying to get on flights. And 95 people are dead Jeez. And SS DOES use FedEx. Just request it. Just know their (fedex)policy is ALL figures are signature required.
Finally home and had some time to futz and play around with these figures.
A couple of not-so-good surprises...
First off, Luke doesn't have any feet, the ankle articulation just plugs into the boot. So forget about using the body for Jedi Luke. Are there any compatible feet? Other than the (I suppose) über scarce feet that come with these special bodies.
Second, the entire neck adapter system is not compatible with other True Types... I have my Jedi Luke on a TT and the neck adapter does not fit. At all. So forget about using the head for a Jedi Luke... How did the others go about this? What does one have to do? Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Finally, the arms on both figures do not elevate at the shoulders. They do move up sideways fine, but don't rotate forward... Anybody else find this?
The feet and neck adapter are no biggies, I just wanted to customize a better Jedi Luke, but the arms are perplexing...
Anyway, the figures and gear are fantastic! I'm very happy, except for those little details...
I wasnt going to say anything, but really, this storm destroyed a lot of home and lives. And some one is *****ing about not getting his dollies.
Techincally they consider it damaged, so the returns on them. And after they get it back, my order will be cancelled and I should be able to order it again. Its a hassle and it sucks, but worth it to me. These things cost way to much these days to accept any hasbroesque slop like that when everyone else's cleary doesn't have it.
I mean if they wanted to give me a $100 credit so I could go buy one on ebay, that would be fine, but $20 isn't even close to what the head is going for.
Buttmunch, why don't you just paint the offending area black?
I was not blown away by this figure at first (mostly because of the likeness issue I think), but I got around to futzing/posing him more last night, and this really can be a bad-ass figure when you get a chance to do that.
That "clean" hair really does him no favors in the likeness department. Even my wife thought that, as at first she thought the "clean" likeness just wasn't there, then saw it come out with the BD hair.
