I mean its not horrible, but for the price we pay for them, the Hasbro slop isn't acceptable

I've tried the usual tricks that normally work on removing little bits of paint, but it didn't work. And the paint is so shiny it would be very difficult to match it and scratching it off would just make things worse I think. :(

I don't see what the problem is. Don't look like a big deal to me.

Yeah, its minor, but its up in front and I don't see why I should have to settle when there are plenty that aren't poorly done. Usually Sideshow is great at replacements. Not sure why they are being so stubborn on this one when its not even sold out. The only thing that sucks is I have have wait for the order to returned and refunded before I'll be able to order again :slap

I had planned on displaying my BD figure with the weather vane, but after having him in hand, I wanna keep him with the lightsaber. Still prefer the clean Luke, but can't really tell you why. Only QC problem with mine were the magnets on the BD head. Fixed that with some superglue. Overall, I have no qualms saying this is the best Star Wars figure ever produced. Simply stunning. Poor DX-12. He's getting shafted right now on the shelf.

They did the same thing with Joker replacement parts at first. Then they loosened up once they received enough returns to have stuff to replace. Maulfan couldn't get a replacement part in the initial shipment but I did about four weeks later. Try them again in about two weeks.

You'd think a little acetone would take that little gold splotch right off.

Tried it. Its pretty stubborn paint :lol

And yeah, I asked if it would be possible later and they just said no. Basically its take the $20 or return it. So I'm returning and reordering. :dunno

Return it and reorder. If its something you can fix easily then a credit is fine but when it's something that can't be fixed then always return it.

Yeah, thats my thought too. And I haven't had any luck getting it off and trying anything stronger would probably take black paint off too and just ruin it further :lol

You say best SW figure ever. I haven't owned a SW figure for ages. Last I got was a Grand Moff T. 12" figure, and the ObiWan 12" (not the SS ones). These were OK, but nothing special. I was scrutinizing the Luke figure last night and it is totally amazing. The likeness is cool, but... the posing is great. The lightsaber stances are fun, and the sneaking up blaster in hand stances... it wasn't easy to not buy it yesterday. That said, I was expecting a text from my guy today... :impatient:
Another that said, the DX12 is supposed to arrive in the same delivery, so I can compare the two (three) together.

It's good to hear that HT Luke is better than Hasbro's Tarkin!

I just received my figure and was very excited, until I opened the box and to my dismay I see that my laser cut Luke (or should I say uke) card is mispelled,I mean come on Hot Toys how does something like this pass inspection.i know to some its just a stupid card but for a 300 dollar high end collectible these sort of mistakes shouldn't happen.

Call SSC, they will make it right somehow.

I really don't understand what SS is doing with this release? I ordered a set only recently (it was still listed as a Pre-order) when everyone else started to get theirs and it shipped after two days?

Why are people being told that they don't have them to ship?

The weather vane is definitely too kool not to use!! So using the screws provided I mounted it inside the Detolf - and I must say it looks frickin AMAZING!!!! :yess: :hi5:

I love this DX package so much!!! :)

Got mine last night. Despite seeing all the pics and reviews I was still blown away. This is easily the best SW figure to date. Sculpt is amazing! Going to hang my weather vane tonight (going to add some plastic anchors just to be on the safe side) and I'll post some pics this weekend. It's amazing that we got 2 incredible figures, tons of accessories, 2 stands and an intricate light up environment all for 300 bucks. Sideshow would have charged 180 for the weather vane alone. Well played HT, well played. :clap:clap
