R2-D2 is the silver lining. The prices on Hot Toys Han & Chewie are stupid. I ordered them anyways, but damn.

Why would Luke x-wing cost as much as the recent ESB/ROTJ Vader (which came with tons of great stuff)? All of the new SS stuff for next year is nosebleed pricing.

R2 comes with a buttload of awesome accessories at a very reasonable price.

No, was the reg, but the Vader was the EX. Most of the EX pieces I get from HT (as with Sideshow) just sit in the box anyway.

It's a stellar piece on its own (though I think someone mentioned it's slightly undersized) but I've just never found a use for it in a display because it's so scene specific. I like how you've got it there but I don't have Yoda's house.

Extra character heads (Bossk, upcoming Luke Hoth) make the best ex's imo.

I have seen recasts of the vader luke reveal on ebay but think are sold out , but they do pop up cheap. Yes it is a little undersized.

Yeah, I've seen a few recasts go for $35 on eBay. They looked decent. In general the in-hand quality of those eBay versions varies a lot though. I bought a Cap recast and the face paint was okay (not great) but it had METALLIC GOLD hair. Buyer beware on recasts...
