Interested in the same Chewie info. For the same reasons. I think the current one can be futzed enough to look good but the face color is still keeping me from clicking the buy button.

If Chewie had had accurate-colored fur on his face, that probably would've been enough to convince me to buy. :(

I think if they did a big release, they could include the Degobah outfits and Bespin. You never know, maybe it'll be a more-or-less straight reissue of a clean Bespin Luke, similar to what they've done with the Arnie Terminators (I know none are an exact reissue of a previous release but basically iterations on the same theme). I don't think Jack's gonna elaborate, though, so all we have is speculation until HT releases some pics.

Unless I'm mistaken, Jack had hinted at two ESB figures. I'm guessing Luke and Yoda, perhaps with a Jedi training theme.

Edit: What TaliBane said. :lol

I feel the same about the fur on Chewie's face. His face is off and a wonky a bit in general, but I would have bought it already if the fur colour was more like the actual Chewie mask.

It's the complexity of assembly that you'd think might sink a second Chewy, but then again, they've done it and learned so why not? Wonder if he's been a hot seller or not. I guess that's really the final word on a V2.0.
All good points (and wish you had taken pics of that disassembly and clean-up, must have been quite a job). I believe HT at some point said that they'd lost money on the Hulk and there wouldn't be a 2.0, which most of us scoffed at. Still seems crazy to me that they wouldn't want to make more money off the R&D on the figure and have everyone re-buy with a different headsculpt.

Yeah, the general offness of the face (for lack of a better term :p) and my certainty of a 2.0 is what was preventing me from picking it up but some of the futzed pictures look pretty great and a 1:6 furred Chewie is undeniably cool (also think once in-hand the issues wouldn't bother me as much). Still, really wish they gotten Chewie's soulfulness down. Would've been a sure pick-up then.

Yes there's news about a 2.0?

Looking forward to specifics on this one as there were a few things I was never fully happy with, with the DX. I sold it while the demand is there and am gambling on a 2.0 I'll be more satisfied with. And Jack, before I pull the trigger on single Chewie, you're sure you haven't heard anything about an ESB version? ;)

He never said he heard positive new or rumors. :rotfl

Well, it's not the same as news but people are just taking the hints and running with them, in the absence any real info. All I've said is that Bauer (who's been right about every figure he's discussed since joining) has strongly hinted that there's a Bespin 2.0 in the pipeline. Given his track record, it's as good as gold to this collector.

:exactly:

The "Jack Bauer-rumor-to-fact" ratio speaks for itself at this point.

I'm still very happy with my Hot Toys DX Bespin Luke Skywalker. I've had none of the trouble others have complained about. I will say that it is one of those figures that tends to look a lot better in person than it does in pictures (especially with my poor photography skills). I picked this up when it first came out and has been proudly displayed ever since (The battle damaged one is still in the box). He is a little too tall, but because I display him alone I never really notice. I understand that the new ANH Hot Luke will be shorter and I have wondered if it might be cool to get an extra one and use it to swap out the body, not only making him the right height but also providing a light up light saber. Maybe this is what I will do with the battle damaged Bespin Luke I still have in the box. Of course a 2.0 version will save me the trouble, but honestly I would want a ROTJ Luke before another Bespin. I think a deluxe ROTJ Luke should come with everything needed to accomplish every version we see Luke wear in the movie. The figure should be as we see him in the duel at the end, but also come with robe like vest, his cloak from Jabba's palace, and his Endor gear (poncho and helmet). He should come with a LED Lightsaber, blaster he takes momentarily at Jabba's and both gloved and ungloved right hand and the exclusive can be a battle damaged right hand. So that's what I am hoping for when it comes to a future release, but in the meantime I'll keep enjoying one of my favorite figures...

He is approximately 11 9/16 inches tall. He does not have traditional "foot pegs" so to speak but has what a lot of other DX figures have like Jack Sparrow and The Joker which is a ball joint peg. Here are some pics to show what I'm talking about.

Very similar to SS boba foot pegs and the new SS Han and Luke Hoth pegs seen in this pic.

Yeah, I seem to recall the Luke Besp foot pegs were almost unique to that figure, or maybe were at the time.

Agreed. Most of their figs have a traditional ankle peg but from what I've seen quite of few of their figures within a certain time frame had them.

Didn't Leonidas and Perseus have them as well?

This kind of ankle makes a lot of sense when they visible, as the double-ball (barbell) doesn't look realistic - but obviously provides easier and more versatile posing. I stopped long ago trying to figure out why any 1/6 company does what it does with things like this. Sometimes it just seems random.

This has probably been answered so I apologize, but is this figure more or less in scale with the newer Star Wars releases? I want to assume it definitely is, but assumptions can be costly in this hobby lol. I have the chance to get one - slightly cheaper than average, but I am on the fence. I am afraid the new one which we all know will be coming may be just as good, if not better.

Yeah, he's a bit taller than the newer ANH Lukes, but he doesn't look out of scale with the newer Hot Toys Star Wars figures. He's still shorter than Han.
