I am all for HT getting a crack at this but honestly I would really only care about them doing Mola Ram and ToD Indy and MAYBE redoing Belloq.

We already got a Raiders that with some upgrades is awesome, we have a Toht that is awesome and a Henry Sr.

If they go beyond the one figure please do things SSC has said they won't do.

Even though I really like the other characters from the movie, especially Marion, I think I'd be okay with it if they did this. HT is known for doing 1 or 2 figures and moving on, and I think Indy by himself would represent the film very nicely if you have a variety of HT figures from different lines on display.

Kind of like Planet of the Apes. The Gorilla guys represent the movie pretty well, and I kind of knew from the beginning that we weren't going to get a full line with tons of characters like Sideshow did.

Marion is crucial to the Indy line. As is Sallah. If you spent a bit more time in the Indy boards, instead of just jumping over here with the HT announcement, you'd know this. It's not meant to pick a fight, it's just a post from an Indy collector who's been in these boards since Carl got Dave to start them.

My statement wasn't directed about her importance to the films but HT inability to create a really good female figure (IMO).

I think they've been improving. I wasn't a fan of the real hair on Black Widow, but Abigail Whistler looks pretty nice and I have a feeling that Alice from Resident Evil will be really good as well. I enjoy my Jill and Sheva from Resident Evil 5, but they don't quite look like they do in the games, so I can understand where you're coming from.

I have Abigail (iffy on Widow) they are really close but still too far away (for me) to invest in a purchase. One day they'll nail it, perhaps it will be with an Indy gal

This is most likely MMS DX 06 as the Christopher Reeve Superman DX figure was revealed months prior to this announcement.

Gotta say that I tend to agree with you. Although I wouldn't balk at other characters, but I'd really hate to see HT jump in with the intent of doing a complete line and then don't. I'd definitely get out of everyone's way if that happened.

And for the record, can I say that I hate the updated titles for the films? It's not Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's just Raiders of the Lost Ark.
