I meant it's dumb to say quitting a line was a good thing. Not that you are. My bad. If the lines not selling I agree it makes sense but hard to gauge after just a few figures.

That being said I don't think this is anything more than a couple figures here and there that SS wants HT to handle. People are going WAY overboard.

I initially figured that was the case. It would be the Mola Rams and the ToD Indys that HT would handle. Them coming out with a DX Raiders Indy makes me think we will get some others that SSC could have handled. But maybe not. Maybe they just figure that their best bet to get into the line is to do a DX release and including a variant that SSC hasn't come out with yet.

In reality you are probably right though it will only be a small select of figures that SSC doesn't want to necessarily do. It could always turn into something bigger if it takes off.

I agree that the expectations are out of control for Star Wars. I tend to think the same way as Nam, that if they were going to announce Star Wars, then that is their big story and it wouldn't have been relegated to a thinly veiled quote. But I can understand the excitement seeing as how this would be a collector's dream come true (well, apart from guys like Nam who apparently hate all things Hot Toys all of a sudden )

As for long-term success, who can say? Maybe if HT stuck with Watchmen (releasing Rorschach and Night Owl), they would have found a hit as people wanted to collect the whole group. But it's an expensive proposition to keep pumping money into a line that isn't bringing in a big profit. Keeping the line going then becomes a gamble. I personally don't think Hot Toys made any foolish moves in stopping a line when they didn't experience early success, but we'll never know.

I don't hate HT. I hate people who lack even the smallest vein of common sense and self control. Again, you think some would be able to see the forest for the trees but given we've already got 21 pages of creampies in the SW boards and several here based on a "hint," guess not.

I'll be interested to see Hot Toys' take on Indiana Jones. I've always been a big fan of the film. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see a HT Marion Ravenwood.

Marion is crucial to the Indy line. As is Sallah. If you spent a bit more time in the Indy boards, instead of just jumping over here with the HT announcement, you'd know this. It's not meant to pick a fight, it's just a post from an Indy collector who's been in these boards since Carl got Dave to start them.
