Gotta say that I tend to agree with you. Although I wouldn't balk at other characters, but I'd really hate to see HT jump in with the intent of doing a complete line and then don't. I'd definitely get out of everyone's way if that happened.

And for the record, can I say that I hate the updated titles for the films? It's not Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's just Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I personally think it would be a waste of their talents if they just did a DX Indy from Raiders. I really hope they don't just do one but I won't give my hopes up.

I agree. I imagine it's too expensive of a license to just do one figure. But it's great to finally see something new developing with Indy and now I've got 2011 to look forward to for new products from both HT and Sideshow.

As for long-term success, who can say? Maybe if HT stuck with Watchmen (releasing Rorschach and Night Owl), they would have found a hit as people wanted to collect the whole group. But it's an expensive proposition to keep pumping money into a line that isn't bringing in a big profit. Keeping the line going then becomes a gamble. I personally don't think Hot Toys made any foolish moves in stopping a line when they didn't experience early success, but we'll never know.

It could be a gamble I agree. Giving up on something just a couple in sucks though.

Marion is crucial to the Indy line. As is Sallah. If you spent a bit more time in the Indy boards, instead of just jumping over here with the HT announcement, you'd know this. It's not meant to pick a fight, it's just a post from an Indy collector who's been in these boards since Carl got Dave to start them.

That is the major issue with sideshows Indy line. Not doing those two figures really kind of sucks. I think they would havering fine given a proper edition size.

Ah Nam is a good guy. I like him. He's honest an I respect that and we see eye 2 eye quite a bit. Ge catches a lot of flak from people who _____ and moan without a hint of truth within what they're saying.

Why would anyone even want Sideshow to put out any more figures from the Indy line. They havnt done it right since they have had the license. The only thing that was good about the figure was the sculpt.

Six releases and only one figure could be considered good in my opinion and that's Henry... SS totally failed with this line at every turn.

I think Toht was a success but you are right he shouldn't have come when he did. Belloq was the uber fail.

I mean I'd like that to happen...but lets be happy to start with at a Hot Toys quality Indy.

I love Indy more than any other character and while I would like all types of villains, sidekicks and love interests to be made this could easily be a perfect stand alone figure.
