The only thing really worthy of owning are SS's PFs and for most they are too big to display. The 1/6 market is far larger. HT got the license from SS, they know what the previous head, gear, etc is they need to top. The fact its a DX says to me they are going all out.

And of course the fact that all the 1/6 military colleting nuts will likely buy this as well since he comes from the WW2 era and fights nazis.

So looking forward to getting Barney for dirt cheap (aka clearance) next year!:yess: I haven't even seen the movie and I want it...even more so than Indy, even though I LOVE those movies, he has never excited me as a toy for some reason.:dunno I have tried to get into the collectibles ever since the original Kenner line but???:dunno

I am very happy for those who want this though!:yess::1-1:

Disagree here. While it might appeal to some, they'll be the exception, not the rule.

I'm sorry, but what is it with these $250 comments?I mean, sure,Indy is a huge licence, but so is Superman, and TDK had a pretty large fanbase as well, none of their other figures have went above $220(which is the SS Exclusive Bruce Lee with an extra body).I'm just curious as to where all of this "likely $250" stuff is coming from,if I judged by looking at past DX releases, none of them even came close to $250.

Let's see prod. pics of INDY before we get to pissy about "what license will out-sell another."

I'm gonna' get Barney, because it is "Stallone" and I'm gonna' get INDY, because it's "INDY" :lecture

thenammagazine I actually meant it was me who was "bitter as hell" not you man.

I'm pretty much bitter as hell seeing as all he dough i dropped to make the perfect build. I'm still excited though

Stallone as an Icon himself, yes but maybe if it was Rocky or Rambo y'know? The expendables is about as close to being anything close to iconic as you can get. It begs to have corners cut really.

Indy is all around as big as it gets. Indy, Star Wars, Chris Reeves Superman... Terminartor 1 and 2. That's about as big as you can get!

I don't even think a Rocky or Rambo would outsell Indy.

It's not Batman dude. It's not HT's license. Sideshow gets a cut, Hasbro gets a cut and after all that, LFL still gets their ridiculous cut. Add in those licensing fees and it's easily $250.

I know. I was just throwing that out in the air so those who thought I was hating could see that I'm not. He's bought if the likeness is there. But if it isn't, and without Trevor's involvement I'm worried, it's an easy pass.

^^ RF why are you bitter? I would gladly have your Indy, and proudly display it with all my other Indies.

I still f'ing LOVE LOVE LOVE my Indy and am proud to display the work of the dedicated Indy enthusists and talented artists involved in making it.

I'll love it no matter what but lets just say the money put into it would make those crying about a potential 250 weep endlessly for months on end :)

I definitely would have approached it differently if i ever though there was a chance in hell HT would pick up the lisence. Should have thoguht twice about that after Terminator though.

The way I look at the money I spend on custom figures is the fun I have putting it together and watching it come to fruition. Sometimes it can take months even years to finally finish it. And the money spent wasn't just on the material but the enjoyment I got out of building it.

53 pages in less then 24 hours, on FB this has gotten a giant response.

Barney Ross? :cuckoo:

Hasbro figures were crap and not a good selection until too late. Sideshows figures all needed work and some were just garbage like Bellosh. Most adults don't buy legos, and Gentle Giant is Gentle Giant.

Indy in 12" = appeals to SW collectors/casual Indy fans as well.

:pfft: I do.

But really, I think HT could pull off a hybrid style of body like the TTA's forearms and the Ezio chest. That would make for a good combo. I dunno, I don't blame Indy for failing. I blame the merchandise itself. Where is IrishJedi to chyme in? Who knows, maybe it's Lucasfilm's fault. :dunno

I was very close to doing several upgrades to my Sideshow Indy. I'm glad I didn't.

Is that a crime? :huh

There are some rad customs out there that are still rad even if HT makes a great Indy.

No, but throwing ____ in the faces of those who did, should be. This is the same BS posting you did in the leaky DX thread. The "____ you, yay for me!" bull____. How soon you forget so long as it serves your purpose. :monkey1

Naw dude, I had an Ezio body in my cart at Toy Anxiety, once had Josh Small in line to repaint my Indy, and almost bought two extras from gohastings on Amazon. Oh and I have had a tie for TLC Indy for some time now. And an MP-40 from Aldo Raines. Pfft, waste. Here's hoping HT pulls a Watchmen and only makes 1 or 2 figures. I'd be ok with a kickass ROTLA Indy and nothing else.
