Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I will add my 2 cents, that when I compare pics of the EB ETD sculpts to HT's, EB wins. BUT, I will have to see the HT production figures first hand to make my final assessment. Either case, I will probably pick up 2-3 of this one and definitely some loose heads. You can't ever have too many 1/6 Bruces.

not the BD but the normal version is great IMO

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I'm not sure what I'm reading here!

Think of the date that EB GoD was released and the DX Bruce Lee, the time difference is huge! you can not compare the 2 - our have I misunderstood your post!

Actually, for the time, that original Arnie Kim Game of Death figure released by Enterbay was one of the best, if not the best. It had a very accurate Lee sculpt but lacked the texture, wrinkles and advanced paint applications that would come later on. HT's first Bruce figure has the luxury of being made nowadays. Not exactly a fair comparison.

I think I didn't explain myself very well there. I meant that since this is Yullie's first BL sculpt she did a great job. Of course back then Arnie's work was top notch, it's not a fair comparison with today's standard, but with time Arnie got better and better. This comment I forgot to add in the first post, so, just give Yullie some more time to perfect the BL head and she'll also kick ass, that is IF HT is planning on doing more Bruce Lee figures.

Right now Enterbay is my favorite source for BL figures, I just hope HT can top it off so we have access to better and affordable products for those who didn't have the chance to score Enterbay's old figures. If I had the chance to buy EB's ETD BL I wouldn't even look at this one anyways, like most of you do.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

They should have promoted the normal sculpt... the BD sculpt is giving him a bad rep... they could have just worked on that one quietly haha...

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

:lol thats true! but then they'd complain about the lack of BD sculpt

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I'm pretty sure the EB ETD Bruce didn't even have a BD sculpt...

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

doesnt look like it

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I don't think that glass background came with the figure either... :lol

Looking more into the figure, the versions they had weren't even in one package... two separate sets for $200 each (each had one sculpt and two/sort of three outfits and not much else)... geeze do they gouge us with their BL figures.

agreed :lol definately prefer the HT one, same quality IMO and cheaper!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

It's obvious that HT's Bruce Lee is the better value, but of course it would be since they are the bigger company. Enterbay was still a small outfit when they were doing their early Lee figures.

Also, Enterbay makes their BL figures in limited runs. HT does not, which lowers pricing.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I'm just trying to even the grounds of what each had offered us or are about to offer us. People seem to quickly dismiss HT's attempt because of EB.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

what exactly did EB offer us with the ETD figure?

The A and B versions had pretty much everything the HT does minus the backdrops and scratches on the body/face. The A version even had that boxing gear he wore at the beginning of ETD when he fights Sammo Hung.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

ahh, so with the backdrop and BD and non BD heads, 199 for HT bruce and what, 300 or so for EB bruce...I like the outfits they gave bruce, the boxing gear, the blue suit he wears in the begining, the brown one he wears while on ship. But, HT Bruce, is just waaay more affordable and on par with EB's IMO

Well, considering Enterbay's Enter The Dragon figures were released back in 2007, again it's not a fair comparison.
