Super Freak
Did he? I don't know honestly ... Coco or Fabio will chime in I'm sure
Now that we got these pics, there are only two issues that could ruin this figure.
1. The back of the head having an unhidden panel for the PERS with an ugly, visible seam. (That would kill everything if he had a robotic panel on the back of his head )
2. The body suit leaking. (I don't think it will though)
Other than those possibilities, this figure is perfect. The likeness of Keaton in the eyes and mouth is great, the cowl is perfectly sculpted, the suit is faithfully replicated, the cape is better than any of us dreamed and the gadgets are all there.
Yeah, they're Nikes. Thankfully, Hot Toys didn't put the Nike text logo on the strap.
Though, if you look closely on the side, it appears they gave it the swoosh logo.
I can't believe how spot on everything is. Hot Toys must have some pretty damn good reference.
I am bothered by the fact that they didn't layer the pieces and went straight for the full on rubber suit... seems they could have figured out a way to have it be in parts like the real suit and gave it much more movement.
Leg's look like they can't move without cracking the rubber.
Mo rubber, mo problems.
Rubbery and limited articulation...
Good. Now if this doesn't leak like a sieve I'll keep my PO
Cape looks pretty sloppy here.
The proto looks good, but that's about all that can be said.
They did klocket.
Take a closer look at the chest plate and upper arms. See the armpits? That's a completely separate layer, just like this.
Here's my prediction.
If anything goes bad with this figure due to manufacturing, Hot Toys will see a mass exodus of customers.
They might feel that they are untouchable because of their base of operations, but that won't matter in the end.
Pretty excited for this figure, huh?
Oh someone is mad I'm skeptical about his dream figure.
Not really. I've actually commented on the possibility of leakage and deterioration on this figure also. I also think the base is a piece of crap, so there's some negativity there too.
The difference is though, I'm not mentioning it in. Every. Post. I. Make. In. Here. You're a buzzkill in this thread, bro.
Stunning pics pop up and everyone is in agreement that what they see is fantastic (even Nam! ) and what does Yankee Planet state, "pretty good, but only prototype". Then everything after is a negative remark. "Cape looks bad there". What about when it looked good? "Rubber this, rubber that." Yeah, everyone has discussed this it hasn't gotten swept under the rug.
What do you like about this figure?

Prototype's are supposed to look "stunning" so sorry I don't slurp the Keaton Kool Aid based on a pair of prototype shots.
If you want to drool and declare this proto the greatest thing since sliced bread then knock yourself out, I'll continue to post how I have been. Don't like it? Don't read it. Simple.

Is it just me, or are even the shoes awesome?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I don't begrudge you yours.I understand where you are coming from but proto's are just that...proto's. Look at the Spiderman proto's and look at the final product, the proto isn't in the same league...and Spidey is a HT masterpiece IMO.
Did I say proto enough, lol
Hmm.
First of all we've gotten more than "a pair" of pics. We have everything but shots from the back. The promotion pics of the figure look fantastic and even with the the crappy in-person glass display pics and bad, over-exposed shots you get this sense that this figure is great stuff. History has shown with Hot Toys that the final product is as good or better than the prototype. It's been that way for a few years now. I don't see what your problem is.
Now, if this thing was currently shipping and we got reports/pictures of leaking, ripping and deteriorating '89 Batman figures then I'd be right there with you. That hasn't happened yet and may not occur at all.
