If there's something positive to take away form the Batman Begins TF EX, it's that the switch out mouths work really well on these Batman figures. It's a great feature to have on this.

Ah, I see. Well, I certainly dig it. I'm sure it's a cheaper way to add value to these figures too. Win win for us all.

So long as it's kept to figures like this where it's seamless. While it's an ok solution, I'm not really a fan of how the swappable hair like Thor or PERS hair like the DX Joker's looks, you can see the seams. At least with Batmans and Jack Sparrow, the designs of the heads allows swappable pieces that blend together. I think every Batman should have swappable mouths, give options, it's a small item to include.

Speaking of which, I hope the PERS on this figure is accessible through the bottom of the head, ala the DX 02 TDK and NOT from the back of the head via lever or plating.

I recall Nam and another member mentioning this when we saw blurry shots of the back of the head when it was on display at the convention. To me, it just looked like the shadows of the headsculpt and the definition of the cowl head. But who knows, maybe it is an accessible PERS that destroys the aesthetics of the headsculpt.

I hope not but remember, the Mars Attacks Martians had it exposed . . .

Here's hoping that it is under the head and not noticeable.

I don't know why they wouldn't do the PERS like DX02, they obviously knew it'd look weird and probably wouldn't be enough plastic in the cowl head on that figure, it's the same with this one, most logical route to me is attach the head with magnet like DX02 and provide another stick to control the PERS up in his head and pop the mouths out.

Only one person reported getting a new body. You guys just love to grab the ball and run with it. :rotfl

Not true. :lecture Maybe here but I know some few collectors in OSR (FB) & some local toy forums here who'll be receiving these body replacements from SS as well. I'm not sure though if they're also members here though. :monkey1

Completely agree. Between the switch out mouths and PERS it's an excellent way to completely change the look of a masked figure.

Very cool feature.

That is a positive thing, but it was actually the DX02 that started the switch out mouths.

True, but making them magnetic was a great idea imo. I like being able to switch out the mouths without messing with the head at all.

New OC Batman uses magnets? I feel like this is inferior to the DX02 method, how easy can they come off, how do you grip them? With DX02 it's so easy to just pop them out and no risk of damage to the part you see.

Actually its even better than the DX02 system. Looks better too, it actually looks like theres a face underneath that cowl, whereas they didnt achive that illusion with the DX02 IMO.

I think they did a perfect job with DX02's mouth. The actual cowl was really snug to his mouth... where Keaton's cowl was a lot more loose around the mouth. If the TDK were any looser it would start to look less accurate.

How is it for swapping though, I feel like this new method risks scratching the paint trying to grip the one that's on already to remove it.

Nah! It's really cool how it's done. Put it this way, you would not need to use your nails to grip the face. Thumb and fingers is fine.
