Yeah, I think you're right...and the abs could be a bit more finely sculpted...and perhaps the final product will be....but it looks so damn good I'm not gonna be too picky.

I do think the figure is phenomenal, the only thing I do wish is that its not textured. Was a huge huge fan of this batman back then for a long time and I used to watch the movie religiously so I know its not supposed to be that textured. Hopefully in hand its not as as noticeable.
Dont get me wrong, this is definitely one of HT's best and I cant wait to have it. But my eye is always seem drawn to that texture.

It's the flash thats picking up every crack and detail.

But even his gadgets have the same texture :lol

Doesn't really matter what lighting shows the texture, HT is wrong for adding it to the body armor, only the cowl and cape should have it.

I don't care.

I don't care either and if anyone is concerned and knowledgeable about the accuracy of '89 Batman it's me.

If the texture/material provides strength in the suit, eliminating QC issues, so be it. If the texture doesn't disappear in the final, in hand production piece (this is, afterall, a proto we're discussing), whatever.

As long as the sculpt and proportions remain intact/perfect, the paint applications are the Hot Toys standard and there are no QC issues, I couldn't give a rats *** about the texture. That and an unfutzed cape in some displays seem to be the only "issue". Thank goodness for that. I'm all for better and more accurate product, (the rim of Joker's hat for example) but things have been much worse. This isn't exactly a mediocre sculpt Hot Toys has done here, in fact it's one of their best.

I can let a little thing like magnified texture slide. Can you?

My only concern is that the cape lay as nicely for us in hand as it does on the proto, while a nice cape helps any Batman figure, I feel the 89 cape was more a defining feature of Batman's look than in any other movie, you can find ways to work around mediocre capes with other suits but with this one, it has to come out like the proto or it won't work.

Sorry, but all questions in relation to this figure need to go thru my attorney firm "Cocoboloboy Collectibles Esquire".
