If you like Batman there is no reason other than broke not to buy this figure. So far he is the figure to beat in 2012.

Brilliant!!!

I know that it means that I will be waiting for a bit longer to actually have mine in my hands and next to the defintive Reeve/Superman 1/6th figure due to FlexPay....

But I got notification that things are in motion....As someone said earlier, we have been waiting for 20 years for this, so 3 more months is nothing! I cannot wait.

I agree about the bas though, they really should flop the colours so that the gold is in the background and not part of the BAT symbol.

For the moment, but it did ship with broken legs/feet though.

Bummer. Mine came issue free except for a small harness impression on the hip.

I figure we've had 5 Batman figures from HT with the first being released in '05 and ,as far as I know, still issue free. The only exception to those is the non-DC Direct version of the TDK DX. I purchased two DC Direct versions and neither had oil issues.

Considering all that I'm not too worried.

:stick Almost 23 years :thwak

Every year counts :lol

if I were a betting man i would say that after the problems with the DX 02 batman, comedian and the begins batman hot toys has more or less corrected everything with this. they had to have heard the complaints plus all those returns that sideshow went through. so far, nothing is wrong with the begins batman rubber and the boots on the reeve superman are fine. the '89 boots are probably made from the same plastic that supermans boots are because they don't look like the rubber boots the nolan batman figures sport.

it appears to be a very simple, quality figure. I think we're in for a great release personally. if the only problem is the box art and the base then we fans should be in for a real treat. the headschulpt and accessories alone warrant a purchase

Why would they fix it? People bought the figures even after they knew previous ones had problems, HT can make this defective and people will still buy it, what motivation do they have to spend money to improve the techniques when they'll make money either way.

As long as people keep buying rubber figures with problems HT will keep making them untill sales dip and they're forced to correct it.

They probably have fixed it... but HT is only focussed on cash, why would they spend money to fix an issue if they'll make a profit even if they don't?

My original TDK batman is as good as ever, but they cheaped out on the DX and Comedian and alot of the Begins shipped broken. Precedence isn't good for Rubber HT Figures.

I hope it's fine though, and i can't say i'm not envious of you guys, this looks to be a great figure, just not a priority for me enough to cancel others.

I could care less about the box and I could care less about the base. The figure looks brilliant & its gonna be a long 30 days or so waiting until this figure lands in my Detolf. :gah: :impatient:

Now that the experts have pointed out the base issues, it is bugging me now.

I bought Batman, not Batgirl dammit :lol

So much nitpicking. This figure rocks & for any batman fan/collector a must have. Can't waaaaaaaait!!! :panic:

*waiting for nova to make another debbie downer comment with references :lol

:monkey3

too bad Joker isn't going to ship alongside with this. our batmans are going to be mad that they can't kick his *** all over the detolfs. That's okay, he can go against the ledger Joker while he waits.

How many of you guys pose duos facing each other in a fighting or similar stance?

I hardly ever, simply cos i won't see the front of one or only the sides of both.

I was gonna get Bespin Luke and have him dueling SSC Vader, but 8'm priced out for Q2

It's kind of hard to tell from that pic at first glance, but zooming in on it a bit, it looks like they *may* have smoothed out the texture on the suit & gave it a bit more gloss finish as to be more screen accurate...but I'll reserve judgment on that until OMG posts pics.

:lol me too. Although I must admit I wanted to pay for both and have them both shipped together. It's all good.

My backlog is getting ridiculous. Eric must be wondering 'WTF' as it builds up. Just haven't been able to make the kinds of payments to visa that I need to make before I can take them.
