Can't wait for this to hit, looks fantastic.

My only nitpick is the base. I see what they were going for, conceptually, but in practice it just doesn't work very well and draws they eye too much away from the figure itself. So rather than complimenting the figure, as a good base should, it instead competes with it for the eye's attention.

Still, not like it is a deal breaker or anything, especially when everything else looks so great.

As for the box...it's a box. It's yellow. I don't care. :lol

I hope that the figure shown at the con is a production piece, if so, then it looks like the cape came out as good in production as the prototype. I had concerns they wouldn't be able to make the production cape look as nice being leathery and not cloth.

I just hope in hangs well. I'd hate it to bunch at the ends.

Hi-res shot :panic::panic::panic:

The final belt color is a shame, as it really cheapens the look of the figure. They should have left it gold :slap Oh well, at least the suit looks fantastic!

I think the belt color will be fine, you've got very contrasting photos there. the official HT proto shot is over darkened and the new shot overlit.

This is a more true lighting scenario and it looks fine, it's slightly gold as it should be.

You guys are right; the flashlight is making the color of the belt look worse. But it's still more banana yellow than it was in the prototype, so I wish they'd kept it the same.

I probably won't display him in the batwing pose, but i really don't like how they have him holding the cape underneath... he holds the rods by holding the outer side of the cape along with it, making his arms more flush with the cape for a more organic look.

This is and the blah outer box are my only issues... i don't mind the inverted base, i don't use the stands anyways. :/

Considering what HT did for the Superman figure, I thought this DX box was kind of bland. But damn, that figure is niceeee....thinking of selling my mark vi and war machine just to make way for keaton bats

Well, I'd say at this point, it's clear that the DX boxes will all conform to the same basic shape and design, with subtle variations to give it a personal touch specific to the property the figure is based on.

I'm a Hot Toys noob. I want to hold off on buying this until reviews start coming out and I can get a sense of how durable the figure will be... is it likely to sell out right away, or can I get away with waiting a short while?
