Well, I won't be pre-ordering from GOODSHIPPED again.
His listing when I pre-ordered was a guaranteed ship when it releases.
He is now selling his first batch for 80-90$ more and tells me I will get the second batch!

I know someone had the same problem with Sparrow from him.

I will never pre-order from him again, I would take it up with Paypal but not much I can do this late.

Thankfully I have another on the way, but this just sucks.
:monkey4:monkey4:(

Yeah after hearing all the problems people have been having with him I wont ever be using him.

The Nolan films were a different approach - which needed to be taken after Batman&Robin.

The mere mention of that movie causes the goddamn Batman to puke.

I preordered right after the announcement at Goodshipped, paid 268 USD shipped for it. Just asked Leo of Goodshipped when I'll get mine, since he listed some special-instock auctions of the item yesterday (or 2 days ago -> they arent up anymore since sold out). These special in stock auctions were as you said 80 - 90 USD more. But from what he told me this pre-release isnt meant for the public yet and all the "normal pre-orders" will ship in February.

I'm still looking forward and really hope not to run in a mess like I did with ABCexpresstoys - they still do not have Classic Predator in stock. It's a nightmare!

Mine shipped! Got my tracking!:blissy:blissy

And Btw, I love the 89 Batman, because I 'm a long time Keaton fan since Nightshift and Mr.Mom :lol and I love the suit! I do love being nostalgic, but that's not my reasoning on why I love this piece! And the film! :yess:

Could I ask what shop?

I can't stand the Nolan films. I just feel they take all the character and "Batman" out of Batman. Bale is just not a convincing Batman. I think he looks ridiculous in the suit, too.

I'm way too anxious now, I need this...now its just a tease. I called Toys2 yesterday and they are still saying March :horror :thud: :impatient:

Though I do prefer Batman Begins, this film will always have a special place in my heart. I was one of the people who thought Keaton was a terrible choice when it was announced (I was twelve and all I knew him from was Mr. Mom) but was blown away by his performance.

Yeah, the film is dated, but that's part of it's charm. It takes me back to when I was a kid and movies were still magical to me.

:goodpost::exactly:

Nostalgia isn't the key factor, or a main factor in why people enjoy this particular Batman. It may be one, but that doesn't apply to everyone. They like it because it was/is good. Film has changed, times have changed, but so what? Does that instantly make films that we love like Star Wars, Terminator or Batman invalid or obsolete? No.

Was everyone shouting "NOSTALGIA" when this film was critically acclaimed and a huge success in 1989? Nope.

:exactly: and with that said I'm gonna go out on a limb here...I like both the Burton and Nolan films. If someone prefers either that's what they like. To come in here and intentionally bash the movie of which this thread is about a figure of, I don't understand, and go away :wave let us who enjoyed the film and waited a long time for a figure of this quality to be released enjoy this thread.

I like them all by the way (except for the B&R fiasco)

As much as I dislike the Burton films for various reasons, I heard an interview recently with one of the producers of almost all the Batman films, Michael Uslan, who's a HUGE Batman nut and was instrumental in getting the movies made after years in development hell. His take on the Burton films put them in a different light for me, and a context in which I can actually enjoy them again.

Basically Burton, Sam Hamm and Warren Skarren set out to create a film based on the early, noir Batman that we saw in Detective #27 and the very early issues of Batman, with a few modern influences here and there. Once I put myself in that mindset and viewed them in that context, I saw them in an entirely different light. I still don't particularly LOVE the films, being that a few story elements still drive me nuts and I don't like the lifelessness of the sets, as well as my hatred of Nicholson's Joker, but having that context to view them in really helps me enjoy them again.

I like both the Burton and Nolan movies. To be honest, if I had never seen the Burton movies and watched them and the Nolan flicks for the first time right now, I would likely prefer the Nolan movies. As an adult, they would likely resonate more with me. However, I think as a child, the Burton movies truly stoked the imagination in ways that the Nolan films could never do. For a child, the Burton movies are the perfect "adult" movies. Returns and '89 have a semi-serious, darkish tone that seemed "mature" but included enough fantastical elements to allow a child's imagination to run wild. The Nolan movies are kinda drab by comparison.

The Burton movies definitely had the coolest looking Batsuits :)
