Thanks ClipperKing that vid was insane!!! :horror I can't believe the details! It's like a mini Keaton, which is really hard to duplicate his face and mouth! :hi5:

How does the articulation and more importantly the restrictiveness of the costume compare to past hot toys batman figures?

Can his torso bend easily? Are the joints stiffer than past batman figures? The material seems to be really sturdy.

so is the suit rubber or a vinyl . The likeness is dead on but I'm on the fence simply as to whether the suit will last over the next few years.
Do we think this will hold up.

from what I have heard it is a different kind of rubber and thus it will deteriorate. I know some have had luck with their begins batman not having issues but over time it will happen. The only way this will not happen is if they start making them with urethane suits which I do not see them doing. I too am on the fence about it. I love the 89 batman film as I grew up with it, but I do not want to purchase an item and worry about it breaking down in a few years.

oh well if breaks down.. will enjoy it while i have it ..the pics so far make it worth the price for a B E A UTIFUL lookin BATS...:rock:rock:rock

You mean its absolutely inevitable? Even if You dont play with it, and keep it all the time in the same, standing upright, growling pose? That the material will deteriorate on its own?

Do we have a rough time-table for this? Do OC Bat figures, from 08' start showing signs of natural deterioration?

Yes it is inevitable rubber does not last forever but of course with anything else there are variables such as keeping it away from UV light, keeping it in a case, and not playing with it. But to answer the question again yes it will break down over time.

Anyone have problems with the Dog Alien? That is the only one I have that is rubber.

Is the best place to store rubber figures in the basement where it is colder?

It's really too bad they couldn't have made the suit out of something that would've lasted alot longer.

This is probably the coolest looking figure/collectible i've ever seen...but i'm not spending that kind of money on something that's only going to last a few years.

We have no idea how the suit is going to hold up, the TDK begins batman came out in 2008, and most of them are still fine, my one is, even my DX02 is problem free, people just assuming this is going to fall apart and deteriorate are just making them selves crazy, but if you don't want to get it because of that reason, then go ahead while we all enjoy our '89 batman xD

I think it will hold up, I mean they change the material for a reason. And besides, I prefer having the cape draped over his shoulders anyway.

Got to admit, I'm a little disturbed, that this amazing figure, and a DX nonetheless, is not a limited release. Think about it, they are still accepting pre-orders!

They really coulsd have made this with only bits of rubber, in fact they could have gone textured plastic all the way and only had that on the parts where it would have been foam latex like the actually suit, it would have caused a no ab crunch articulation but who cares?

There really was no reason at this price they needed to go complete rubber suit like a Begins, it would have been awesome had they had an undersuit with the "armored attached... :/

With that said, this film was my childhood and there is no way I would pass this figure up based on whether or not it will break down in 5 years. ;)
