Along with everyone else in the second half of this order split, I'm not expecting to get my Bats for at least another month, so I ended up buying a second one on eBay from a Hong Kong seller yesterday. He's advertising he had eight brand new, factory sealed DX09s with the bonus Batman shopping bag. Weird thing is, he e-mails me saying he's recently had returns of defective DX09s (he's sold 64 based on the sale page stats) and asks me if I mind him opening it up to inspect it before shipping to avoid a possible return/exchange. I politely replied that I'll be expecting, as advertised, a brand new factory sealed figure and if that's not possible, he'd have to cancel the sale and refund me. Anyway, he e-mailed back right away and said no problem, he'll be sending a factory sealed figure.
I thought it was strange. Perhaps he's fixed one of the returned figures with spare parts, and is trying to unload an opened figure?? I'd be none the wiser since I ok'd the open box inspection.
He has 100% positive reviews....not even a neutral in 12 months and for what it's worth he has the eBay "Top Seller" designation.
Anyone experience anything similar dealing with these HK dealers?
