I thought lance's recent TDk cape was $40? The one that was cut from scaled measurements of the real cape?

But I hear ya about wanting one stock. You're talking to the guy who likes all the stock stuff (usually) :lol

The Hero Template cape for Begins is $25. (I need to get one of those...)

If everyone just keeps cool and thinks about everyone else, this thread can and will be a lot of fun, we've seen it, it's just derailed a bit every so often and we just need to all work together to keep it on track.

Communist. :pfft:

Good post Sean. ;)

Thanks, And I agree.

That said, have you tried that pose? "Flattening" the cape is much easier said then done. Besides I only put him in that pose long enough to take that picture. It's not one of my favorite poses.

:cuckoo:

Mags, you have me quoted as saying this in which you replied, but I never said this. I don't even own the figure yet :lol

I just asked this in regards to the eBay price of the HT cape:

EDIT: Found it. Drakul said it

Indeed but no harm done.

Well, thats a whole different bag really. Prime lenses would be best, but thats not really a good choice unless you are a really serious pro photographer as they dont zoom, they are what they are. that being said, they cause the least lens distortion. As a starter though, youd probably be happy with any kit lens. The kit lens that came with my d7000 (18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR) is a nice wide angle to medium zoom and would work well for taking some closeups (although not too close) and being just a good general lens. if you are going to use it almost exclusively for taking toy shots, I would go with the 18-55mm lens as it will give you a bit less lens distortion. That's the one I had on my old camera that i'm going to put up on ebay and it always served me well.

This is actually what I have and it's a really good camera. A kit lens is nice for starters so you have some zoom, later on you can figure out what range you use most, what you tend to shoot and then see if you want a better lens.

sorry if the 6 total posts about cameras destroyed the thread

Make that 7 :wave:hi5:

All the capes have holes closed :lol

It's really a fun cape to play with, lots can be done with the cape.

If I owned a camera I would take pics.

YArrrr! the source of the camera derail!
WhatKinda collector doesn't own a camera:slap:slap:slap:dunno:dunno

I kid jye4ever... it's friday and I'm happy

I'm just about right there. By the time we get this, it will be old news and gushing about it won't be as fun.

Dude march is like 10 morning stiffies away man, this thread can go for months...

Lighting looks great in the 2nd pic, but I feel like too much of him is cut off, a vertical pic showing as much as the first with that same lighting would look amazing.

You like it huh?

Iunno, I think with the wings completely spread out like that it makes his body look kinda lost/tiny inside all that cape.

Maybe it's just me. :dunno

No I tend to agree with you for the figure, it loses a sense of mystery when he spread out the cape like that.

But in the movie, I just love it. It's so imposing and impressive.

I have only seen the "wing spread" pose work when Bats is on a pedestal like Supes - in the air as if he is about to land.

Yep. Agreed on both points.

Where did you get those Saint Seiya bases?
I'm doing the EX line and these are pretty cool!

Very cool :rock
I would personally try to flatten the cape a bit to make it more like that opening scene.

Those are the Power of Gold Stands which are yellow, and the Tamashii Nations Stand which are orange.

Those are mad expensive to get, since they are extremely rare, have you seen the Myth Ex Tamashii nations stand? They are orange rather than the base off white.

Back on subject, I just cleaned my batman with leather wipes and it looks good! I clean my figures with a paint brush to wipe the dust off, then applied leather wipes for car leather, bad idea or what?

I had this problem with the new SuperHeroes Lego Batmobile and the batman, if I put him with the cape on, it prevents the batman from sitting all the way in, but would anyone else try to fit this batman with the cape on the 1/6 batmobile? I'm severely thinking on not doing it, one it wrinkles it, and two it would probably take a lot of futzing around unless I buy a second cape, maybe they'll release custom capes in the near future.

You've got to cut the little rectangles on either side of the cape.

Gently make a small incision with small, precision or sewing scissors or an exacto knife (make sure you don't cut through the other side of the cape) into the rectangle. Slide the dowel into the hole you made, and viola, Batman can spread his cape like in the film.

he must of lowered it somewhere in the thread b/c in the first post it says $30 for velvet and $40 for dyed rayon. Not trying to argue as I don't go in the thread much just what I read. The ones I thought were $25 were the ones not made from the hero template. But again, I don't go into those threads much
Indeed but no harm done.

Not at all brother :peace just didn't want Mags expecting a response from me as I don't even have the figure :lol

That's my favorite as well. I'll try that next close-up set I do. :peace

Couldn't stop thinking about it.

How's this?

Love the shape of the cowl on the '89 Bat.
