I'd never buy another figure like this again... Still, we should all chill a bit. People have had this in their hands for months now, and this is the first we've even heard of it... very well could be nothing at all.

I don't know man, a lot of people wouldn't have even taken the belt off, I wouldn't have, had Maglor not asked me a question about articulation.

As you can tell, I don't freak out about this stuff, so trust me what I'm telling you is calm and balanced.

But, I have two 89 Keaton Batmen. And BOTH are leaking oil residue.

Actually someone on FB had an oil problem with his too a few weeks ago, just that noone noticed since it was just the one person. Now there's 2. If there's a third, alarm bells will be going off for me that's for sure

If it's the belt contacting the rubber on the suit creating the problem, maybe you can seal the back of the belt with some kind of clear primer and see how that works out.

It's odd that the same people who're claiming theirs are leak free are the same individuals who claimed the issues with the DX02 were over exaggerated.

I do blame Maglor for everything.... I overdrew my checking 5 months ago: MAGLOR. My wife was pissed at me for drinking too much during a poker game two weeks ago: MAGLOR. This spreadsheet I'm working on has a f'd up formula that I can't get fixed: MAGLOR....

I will be paying close attention to this though. If I get even the sniff of this being an real issue I'll back out fast than Mater leaving Radiator Springs.

That has to be expected though. I know I won't be displaying this figure any differently than any of the rubber body figures I’ve had in the past. It will be arms down, neutral pose.

Yeah, no big surprise.


I wouldn't be afraid of the more extreme poses, just as long as you don't leave them like that all year.

Just making an observation. You'll see. The fanboys will post pics of theirs denying that the shininess in their pics (which matches exactly to what you've already shown) is anything to be worried about. Then they'll toss him in the FS threads or on Ebay claiming it's leak free. This will be DX02 the Sequel. Watch.

Be even more funny to see how this issue effects the new Batman: Arkham figure they're set to release.

To be fair, a bit of a shine under the belt from rubbing is normal but a glob isn't.... I just want to know what people are seeing here?
