Yes, I have left the dark paper under the belt. It's not visible in the detolf, under normal lighting conditions. Better to be safe, eh?

I also noticed that I didn't have the PERS cover flush, after taking these, DOH!

Yeah, I gave the base a coat of primer so the paint would stick because it's really slick plastic, then I went over it with a coat of black and drybrushed the gray on.

Damn, I'm not having much luck with Hot Toys of late. First the OC Bats and now this. The right leg on my Bats is definitely shorter than the left, which throws the whole figure out of whack. No matter how much I futz, push, cajole and shove the left boot there's no getting over the fact that he's gimped. added to the fact the back plate on his bonce doesn't fit properly either, with a nice ridge on top and gap at the bottom left hand side. Pants!

Thank God SS have great customer service. I just feel rotten about having to contact them again.

As I posted earlier, it's not the boot, it's the hip joint. And with some careful force, it can be fixed.
