Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

When I got on the forum today and was on the index page I clicked on what I assumed was just the DX10 thread. Then I see what looks a lot like the first page of the DX10 thread and I wonder 'what happened there, shouldn't I have been taken to the latest unread post?'

Then I noticed something different!

WTF!!!!

:lol

This is the exact same thing I did last night.

I almost ordered this.

But 300 bucks? Yeah no/

So, is this the DX13 or are they just considering it a variation of the DX10? Nothing so far lists it as 13, from what I see.

Does it really matter which number it has?

Sounds like both heads have PERS. I wonder if the light-up eye also moves. (The movie prosthetic doesn't move, but you can bet Cameron wanted it to.)

An item is worth as much as someone is willing to pay. If the price strikes you as outrageous and you don't want to spend that amount, then you don't really want this figure since it isn't worth it to you.

I think this figure looks great, I'm a fan of the Terminator series, so I'm more than happy to pay the price. Worth it to me. And by the looks of it, plenty of other customers willing to pony up the money.

I've paid over 300 bucks for a figure before, but somehow never felt like I was picking up the soap with Bubba Hot Toys behind me. Pretty sure I'll be keeping my wallet cheeks clenched for this one.

I was wondering about that too... not really PERS on the second head if only one eye moves :lol

After this today i wouldn't be surprised ig they made a 1/6 fatboy to acompany the DX10

A new biker version with a harley definitely seems like a possibility. I could see it happening, DX20 Biker T-800.

Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

I'm not really defending Hot Toys here, but this is only $70 more than the previous T-800 DX. For an extra head (one of which has light up gimmick), jacket, and the T-1000, I think the increase is not unreasonable, and the price is not surprising. I know the $300 has sticker shock just because it is $300, and it isn't a freakish big figure like Hulk or Avatar and isn't two complete figures like Luke. But still.

- One (1) battle damaged head sculpt with rolling eyeballs with LED light in right eyeball (red light, battery operated)

What I understand from that two of them are moving...

Here's my plan... DX10 head and clothes moves to MMS117 body. Semi battle damaged head, jacket and left arm, plus BD hands move to DX10 body. DX13 gets full BD treatment.

Id rather no pers in the head with the light up eye, its just begging to go wrong

It is a shame this isn't a two figure set like Luke, but I reckon the special body with the exposed endo parts was more expensive to do than just taking a couple of slim true types and slapping narrow shoulder arms on them.

$300 moly dollas?! EB's 1/4 @ $100 more is a better deal.

Calling it now, this one is going to sit until it gets discounted.

Yea I'm thinking this body is a bit of hybrid of parts. new left leg and I bet the right arm has the new 90+ elbow articulation. while the left arm looks to have the MMS plug elbow, plus rework the chest/neck with the BD parts
