$230?! I'm okay paying that! WOOHOO!

"Hey Vinny, it's your uncle bingo, time to pay the cheque!"

$230 is a pretty good price considering all the regular releases going around and over that now. I may pick this up once I get the DX08 and 09.

I'm not sure if I love the idea of this release or hate it.

It's so damn random :lol. It looks great but not sure it warrants spending the $230 on.

I thought it was going to be $270, I really did.

$230 feels a little better (and actually surprises me), but I think that's just me being desensitized by the prices. This is a $200 figure, if that.

So December (probably 2014)? That's fine. As soon as a code pops up I'll pull the trigger. $205ish isn't bad. I'll get it.

Sorry if that came across as me alluding to you thinking that... But a lot of folks do try and claim he was a poor seller based on him still being available at some retail places & not having a huge after-market value. I think that is a bit silly. :)

Again, though- My bad if I seemed like I was saying you thought that.

Sallah

Hot Toys doesn't release it's sales figures, but we can infer that he was a poor seller relative to DX09 Batman, since that one sold out much at retail faster than he did, and commands higher prices on the secondary market. Unless for some completely illogical reason, HT produced twice as many Nicholson Jokers as Keaton Batmen, which would explain it remaining in stock longer.

Another, pretty obvious reason for Keaton Batman selling out faster is that he is title character (despite not getting top-billing in the film over Nicholson), the whole thing is supposed to be about him. I bet many collectors bought both, but then there were some (like myself) who only bought Batman...there are probably even a few that bought only Joker, but most likely if someone is going to buy ONE figure from a movie called "Batman", it's going to be Batman.

Regardless of whether Joker met HT's overall sales targets to be considered a "success" by their standards, it didn't perform as well as Batman in relative terms, whatever the reason. Which makes seeing a variant Joker before a variant Batman (BD or Bruce Wayne for instance) that much more baffeling to me.

There will be another Keaton Batman though, Batman Returns Batman.

Maybe for Ease of production? There is a lot of recycling here. They probably figure they can boost year-end sales. Rolling this out the door instead of a whole new figure would be much easier to do.

There isn't one . . . yet. But there will be between now and December.

remove the PERS, call it a MMS and charge $179.95 and I MIGHT consider buying :rotfl

its been so easy to pass on HT figures lately, under $200 there are MANY figures I want, over $200 there are very few...

I know people are moaning about the lack of accessories but why exactly are they providing 3 pens? Surely one would of been enough? :dunno
