No NRD as well which for a DX is unusual, I'll wait till there's a $25 off code though
$230 is a pretty good price considering ...
Sorry if that came across as me alluding to you thinking that... But a lot of folks do try and claim he was a poor seller based on him still being available at some retail places & not having a huge after-market value. I think that is a bit silly.
Again, though- My bad if I seemed like I was saying you thought that.
Sallah
Hot Toys doesn't release it's sales figures, but we can infer that he was a poor seller relative to DX09 Batman, since that one sold out much at retail faster than he did, and commands higher prices on the secondary market. Unless for some completely illogical reason, HT produced twice as many Nicholson Jokers as Keaton Batmen, which would explain it remaining in stock longer.
Another, pretty obvious reason for Keaton Batman selling out faster is that he is title character (despite not getting top-billing in the film over Nicholson), the whole thing is supposed to be about him. I bet many collectors bought both, but then there were some (like myself) who only bought Batman...there are probably even a few that bought only Joker, but most likely if someone is going to buy ONE figure from a movie called "Batman", it's going to be Batman.
Regardless of whether Joker met HT's overall sales targets to be considered a "success" by their standards, it didn't perform as well as Batman in relative terms, whatever the reason. Which makes seeing a variant Joker before a variant Batman (BD or Bruce Wayne for instance) that much more baffeling to me.
There will be another Keaton Batman though, Batman Returns Batman.
