So me just randomly pulling the word 'enemy' out of my arse is stupider than you calling Hot Toys a 'villain' even though we both appear to be complaining about the same thing? I see.

The problem is that people have been demonizing other fandoms, whenever their own fandoms haven't gotten the due that they've deserved - you see it all the time in threads on these forums nowadays. But the fact is that the only party responsible for that is Hot Toys, not the fandom or movie itself.

But maybe that's what you meant, and if so, then I misunderstood.

Wow this conversation just took a turn to crazy-ville. Iron Man is the only villain here if you ask me. It seems that we can't go one month without an announcement for an Iron Man variant.

Ah, then I see how you made that jump from what I said. No doubt about, I have demonised fandoms before even though I wasn't explicitly intending to do so with that particular post. :lol

*spins head and glares at Iron Man fans and Nolan Batfans

I log on now and expect to see that they've announced a Stallone Cobra figure or some other half-forgotten eighties ****.

Because of Commando?

While I have no interest in anything 1/6 Arnold save for Terminator, I do think the Commando figure was refreshing, I dig it. It's way better than a ****ing Disney Iron Man or Star Wars release. However, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little annoyed logging in and seeing John Matrix when nobody was expecting it. It's that random unpredictability about Hot Toys that annoys the **** out of me. The only evidence we had of John Matrix was a random poll a couple of years ago. No announcement, no nothing. Then out of no where, years later, they whip a 1/6 John Matrix out of their ass. It's cool and I welcome non-Disney releases, especially from an 80s movie, but man, why have they teased those other releases? Why do that ****? :lol Don't ****ing show Ripley, Drax and Batman at your cons if they aren't ready and you have no plans to debut them anytime soon. Show John Mattix and Han Solo or something. Don't show is an announcement or a teaser if you're going to wait 3 years and DEFINITELY don't say "Figure A and B are coming out in December", then say two years later that "there are no plans for figure B". It's just such a buzzkill. That's not how you market a figure or create hype because nobody likes having blue balls.

Look, I know we're all going to log in one morning and see this Batman in all of it's great HD glory. I can picture the specs right now, but ****, is this wait for an unveiling really worth it in the end? Why did you hype it up then let it go when everyone was excited? We've had mutiple feature length movies go into production and release WITH complete toy lines in the time it's taken Hot Toys to get their ***** in gear.

Great post, and there was obviously some hyperbole in mine (and apologies to everyone who actually wants a Cobra figure!)

I think you've hit the nail on the head - having a bit of fun with people, or sometimes having to cancel stuff is fine, three years of prick-teasing just feels disrespectful to the people who keep Hot Toys in business.

I don't know if HT is following a set schedule as far as POs go, but if we don't get one for this by Christmas, Imma gonna be pissed.

They're just waiting for the first snow to fall before they put up a PO for the Batman Returns Batman figure.

Pinguin would say:
"Hey just relax, I'll take care of the squealing wretched pinhead puppets of Gotham. You gotta admit, I played this stinking city like a harp from Hell"

Comic Con in Brazil... as you can see, Burton's Batman doesn't appear...

Funny you guys are now against the Iron Man Craze, when a year ago, I was saying the exact same thing, and you know what...all of you were against me. You all said "Have faith in hot toys" or "You need to be patient" or "Come on man, that movie is dated, the only good super hero movies are the recent ones!"

blah blah blah!

As long as the majority of collectors are lukewarm people, Hot Toys will continue to churn out Iron Man variants...

As the poster at the top of the page pointed out, no more Batman Returns symbol at the show...

Then again, no STAR WARS either, which is odd...

I don't see how Iron Man's really affecting this, though. The last one they showed was a final product, which had nothing to do with anything, and the one before that was a repaint/convention exclusive. None of that really screams "We're using all our resources here, boys. Hang tight." With that being said, it's been almost 5 months. Show the damn thing, Howard. I want to see Old Ben, Vader, and 1/4 Fett as much as the next dude, but give us the Batman. You're riding a high after Comic-Con. Back to the Future, Arkham City; hell, I'm even starting to like the Marvel stuff (still not a big fan of all the Iron Men, but I do like that Die Cast MK III, and the Guardians/Cap stuff looks cool as ****). All in all, it's been a pretty great year, so, hopefully, HT ends it on a high note.

:dunno that is a good point but you can't really make heads or tails of Hot Toys at times.

Neither do a dozen other figures. It's just figures already released. So that display means nothing. Sorry.
