I'm assuming so but at the same time I wouldn't put it past Hot Toys to simply reissue these sculpts. That's what they've been doing with Batman Begins despite people crying out for a brand new figure. Hugely disappointing if this figure is released as shown here.
I'll pass if it doesn't have a new sculpt and USB connection to keep the eye lit so he doesn't look dead.

The Begins reissue was a disgrace so yeah put nothing past hot toys.

I'm probably in a minority that is more interested in a clean version Arnold. That's the most iconic part of the movie in my eyes.

DX10 is passable with the shades but the underlying sculpt is pretty bad. Hair being too short bugs me to.

I always thought the DX10 sculpt was bad. I think at MOST they'll USB the head or something ridiculous, rather than a true head upgrade.....

They're trying to get ahead of InArt, seeing as they apparently are doing T1 soon.

But I don't care. This is a dream to get this for me.

I'm sure it's also a response to the relative success PT has had with their venture into the "license".

Not even mad about picking those up, can use all the extra bits to put together a second look, maybe Steel Mill entry.

I'm assuming it's for use with the other jacket (with the full sleeve). Plus it looks like the arm has some BD as well so it will look OK if you want to pose him without a jacket.
EDIT: Just saw a clearer pic and it seems I was wrong about the BD on that seamless arm. :(

It is but I'm wondering why it is now a full detachable arm when it was just a switchout forearm on DX13. Also why does it have a seamless elbow for an arm that will always be hidden anyway. The DX13 had regular plastic double-jointed elbows I think. This isn't necessarily a criticism by the way - it could indicate that they've developed a brand new body that will be redeployed on a later clean figure which would be exciting.

Fingers crossed InArt's presence in this arena gets Hot Toys to up their game.

That's why a straight reuse of the DX13 sculpts wouldn't make sense to me. They know Inart will come up with brand new Arnie heads that will almost certainly be better than Hot Toys sculpts from 10+ years ago.

No, same here. I think it's strange that HT have revisited the BD version first. DX13 was their 'most recent' T2 figure.

Now I wouldn't call DX10's hair too short, but it isn't well sculpted. Neither was DX13's. Very soft and overly neat and rounded.

I always thought the DX10 sculpt was bad. I think at MOST they'll USB the head or something ridiculous, rather than a true head upgrade.....

I made the DX10 head the default on all the T2 Arnie clean variants in my collection - and I've sometimes questioned that decision. I think the MMS117 head, although itself critically flawed as a likeness, was at least crisply detailed and painted and the hair was done better too.

The base doesn't look that great either.... it's just their 1/4 base with a bunch of junk slapped on that isn't really accurate to any scene.

Everything about this just feels lazy. Was hoping we would be over this HT recycling parts of decade old figures.

I'm also struggling to understand what the back wall paneling is even suppose to be. Just seems like random junk that they threw on there. Doesn't match the factory/warehouse at all. It would honestly be better if they just left the base with the railing and the bottom flooring.

Is it from another figure perhaps? Hathaway Catwoman or Bane?

I wonder if this is the actual figure they plan on releasing or if this is a placeholder like their 89 2.0 was at first?

The 89 2.0 wasn't even changed that much.... the suit is still just a one piece rubber mold.

It's not like HT hasn't just straight up re-released 10+ year old figures with a new coat of paint before.

Sculpt is still solid but hopefully they improve it a little. DX13 was my top wanted figure, but was too expensive and issues with the jacket didn't help. Definitely getting this!

I know the main focus is the sculpts, but I think it's cool that they're including a whole silicone arm instead of just the half arm to swap. I was a PITA to swap from the elbow joints on the original DX13. The ball joint at the shoulder will make this much easier to make the swap.

All that said, not sure how interested I am in this given that I'm getting the Prime1 statue 🤔

If they really do release this with same old sculpt ala Batman Begins then no one should buy it.

Otherwise they'll keep repackaging old stuff. Obviously cheaper and easier than making new sculpts.

Still think it's just a placeholder but we'll see.
