Damn, I hope HT listens to us.

It really baffles me why some of the things they do with ALIENS happen the way they do, what their thought process is, some of it has absolutely nothing to do with any reference material, it's made up, and it's boggling why they would make things up in a line with source material and where figures are supposed to match that as closely as possible, and the ALIENS figure is an example of where it's not even close to as possible, they'd already proven with the AVP figure that they could get much closer.
Might be difference in base photos, but mod 1 seems to have more brown highlights left in it, with mod 2 and 3 having the highlights almost totally removed.

Oh and Tank, I bought an Alien warrior today...and he broke. 
Great sculpt though. Aside from the ^^^^ty one I got, it was quite good.
Honestly, I can now look past the dome issue with the NECA alien...because...wow. Its so much better.

hey hey i just got back from a vacation too.
looks like i missed some pretty big news.
since i don't have any 1/6 alien figures (only have the 7" resurrection one by mcfarlane), this would be a must-have for me.
aside from the inaccurate paint colour and slightly alien3-ish face, i think this looks great. anyway i'm sure ht will fix this. consider it po-ed!

True...it would be cost prohibitive.
And not an easy swap, considering they're polystone.
Just throwin' out options.
Hot Toys just needs to resculpt the damn head.
What issue with the dome did you have? My 7" has an unfortunate white mark underneath the dome in the skull area which is quite visible...and his forearm broke off - but its the best representation of the original Alien IMO.

OK, I asked HT about the figure, the answers are red, here's the replies-
1- Is that the final product that you have shown?

A- Shape of eye sockets

B- Colour- too brown need to be greyer/blacker
>>> I've seen the proto, it is grey/black, no brown at all, it's because of the lighting.
C- Shape of mouth is too open when relaxed.

So, it looks like we can reast assured that it's being worked on!
