Yeah, there's a difference between copying the product exactly and copying the details.

If a piece basically stands as 3D model of the source material, I see no reason not to use that as reference, it'd only stand as a model for the creature's design, it would still be 2 totally unique products in the end, one a statue, the other a poseable figure.

Somebody please photoshop the calves!
Who gave these guys the idea that the alien needs muscle mass?

Anyway, as I said, the figure looks sweet, just not like Giger creation.
One comment about the "option 3" though, the dome looks a bit off... I mean, if we're going to send proposals, then we might as well make them accurate.. :D

as i said, body is cool, like a man in a suit. much better than all other variants. very close to the suit.
just fix the head.
and delete brown, alien is not a christmas poo from south park.

Wow...that's kind of a ridiculous statement.

Especially considering most people WANT a movie accurate creation with these types of collectibles.

Which means...copying someone elses work.

And custom #3's dome is far too white for my taste.
I like to see at least a little bit of the skull.

No not really, but thanks.

The artist should try and capture the original, not someone else's interpretation of the original.

The eye sockets and dome are so wrong it's not even funny.

I was thinking, since Aliens don't really come with much as far as accessories it would be cool if the dome was removeable and the figure came with 3 versions. 1 clear. 1 Black. 1 white/frosted or whatever like the third Modification I did. That would be pretty nice since it would give buyers the option of displaying the figure with the look they prefer. iunno.. just a thought.

That would be pretty cool, although it would probably cause more issues, attachment/breakage wise.

The more I look at those eye sockets, the worse it gets. Giving the Alien an air of actual malice with those angry eyes goes completely against what the thing was meant to be.

Say What?!?

You know who had a great shaped head/skull? Marmit, both the vinyl (from what I've seen, never got a chance to grab one), and the A and B statues.

Nice close up shot, HD's wasn't it Sabres?

Yep, Helldresser's it is.

He had 'em all! :monkey5

And I agree...Marmit knows how to sculpt their Alien.

Looks great... can see how the eyes and hands need to be reworked a bit, but honestly its very kickass looking :rock
