Since when is Alien and Alien 3 mixed into the same figure? Having to pay 150 dollars for these Alien figures they sould look more accurate. Iron Man and many other HT's figures are film accurate. I guess they can't handle Alien sculpting as much as human figure sculpting. I can't get over the teeth. Looks nothing like the Alien and after all thats what you see most in the film. It's a cool figure but should be more accurate. I can't wait to see the rest of it.

I wonder if it's inability to sculpt them, or a choice. Hot Toys made little 4" Snap Kits of the ALIENS warrior that were almost perfect replicas of that suit, though missing a fair ammount of detail because of the size, and yet, when they go bigger, they essentially make up the whole thing, take their own creative take on a design for the anatomy. If someone at that company could sculpt a 4" figure almost perfectly, to not have the 1/6 version be equally if not more accurrate, is a very bizarre thing. Even with the 1/4 scale Giger Alien bust, Hot Toys didn't correct the curvature of the head, I always thought they made them more flat and long because of the mechanism for the inner jaw, but then the bust which doesn't feature that, that I know of, keeps the same shape. It's like they have their own ideas about how the Aliens should look or something.

Looks pretty good to me.
I'm sure they'll redesign it here and there before it lands on our doorsteps in three to six months.

Just to give some perspective on judging the ALIEN photo from the show, this is Wolverine under official photo lighting.

This is the figure under the show lighting as the ALIEN

Look how much lighter and more orangey the jacket is in the show photo.

Presumably, the ALIEN is more true to the actual suit, being black with a mix of brown highlight work, but the show lighting is making it look more like it's entirely brown.

yeah the tungsten mixed with the glass plus the flash likely gave it that color. There are other pictures of wolverine out and the color is NOT that dark orangey color from the fair photos. So no judgment passed there, but like others, I concur the chin, mouth and the skull is just way too off. The eye sockets are the wrong shape and should be closer down to where the dome meets the flesh. teeth look tiny and rubbery.

I'm thinking they'll fix this stuff no doubt, I'm pretty sure they're even tweaking Wolverine. Fix this, and they'll achieve a realistic 'man in the suit' look no doubt.

More pics from cybergundam. Cool base. Angry eyes.

Well, I see one point that's going to raise some accurracy frustration, the hands look like recycles of the ALIENS figure molds, both the bendy ones that are on the figure and the grasping, solid ones on the display surface.

I don't know, I think the hands look right. It's hard to tell from such a small pic.

Yeah, another example - check out this shot of the Albert Wesker (STARS version) in the Tokyo Toy Show display, the vest specifically:

Terrible lighting conditions.

As for the Alien hands, they could just be temporary placeholders...

Hard to be certain if the 6th finger is there or not, but I'm dead certain the hands on the countertop are the same gesture as the ALIENS figure.

Thanks for the pics, Batty. :D

It's still unquestionably, overwhelmingly BROWN. Not close to the right tones or paint scheme either... there is absolutely no grey or black in those shots. I don't get it.

Hoping to at least see a representative pic of this. Geez, you'd think someone in JAPAN could take a good pic of this for Godsakes.

NECA's 7" or 18" is a much cheaper and better looking alternative.

This doesn't even appear to have any more detail.

The "Angry" eyes are really bothering me. I could live with the rest but those eyes are really a sticking point to me.

I hope not. I can't imagine them trying to pass those off on this figure.

No problem. I was hoping to find more out there. It's not like last year where there were tons of photos. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

Well, it seems they may try to cut corners and recycle the hands, unless they get enough fan feedback pressuring them to make ones that are right for Giger's ALIEN. Start blasting that Facebook page.

One highlight of that photo, very nice curvature to the dome, more accurrate than the dome on any previous Alien from HT, and much better than the bust.
