Hot Toys Giger Alien

It's a nice figure, but no where near movie accurate. Shame but there ya go.

Could it be a problem with the licence perhaps? Hot Toys seem to knock the ball out of the park on pretty much everything else they do. Apart from my beloved Alien.

I'm not an alien accuracy freak.looks cool. except for the brown, it is perfect IMO.

thats how I pretty much feel. I would be annoyed though if this was going to be my one and only piece from the original movie. That would suck.

that...actually looks really amazing, my first reaction when i saw the toyfair pic earlier was very hesitant. Sort've, well i guess thats cool, it could look better, maybe ill buy it. But I just feel let down somewhat. Seeing your manip CelticP i instantly say "i want that!" for me the biggest "eh" aspect is definitely the mouth and the eye sockets.

with me i prefer the eye sockets to be pretty much non visible unless you really look and maybe shine a light through the dome, that would be ideal.

Geez, it's only a proto! HT haven't even announced it yet! At least they're showing that they're doing it - give it time; HT nearly always alter the prototype before release..........look at Dutch, Marcus & Sheva......all different & arguably better than what we saw in the first pics.

I think people are a little paranoied because so far hot toys don't really seem to care what fans think regarding their alien lines.
If they did alter this and make it more accurate it would gain them alot more respect from the fans.

I have faith in them that they will make this one look fantastic! Plus, this is the first time they have attempted a Giger alien - I predict they'll get it right.

I think thats exactly the problem. Whilst there is alot of alien fans we all seem to be a little quiet when it comes to this subject with aliens whilst in the dc section and so on they bombard hot toys with emails.
We need to do the same !.
Does anybody have the hot toys email address ?. We should all send them a note and the photoshopped pic by celticp ( if he doesn't mind of course ).

Hopefully Hot Toys will resolve all the problems we see with their different versions of the Alien so far and ensure that this one turns out good.

No weak ankles, torn rubber, broken ball joints, peeling paint and .......

HT does have a good track record with their human figures, but historically, they've given Alien fans reason to be pessimistic about this figure.

I mean hell, if they can re-sculpt Marcus-frigging-Wright they should be able to resculpt the goddamned head on Giger's alien!

I'm sick and tired of HT short-changing us Alien fans.

BTW, to me it looks like the hand is right, it does have the six fingers.

Perhaps the ones on the figure, but unless they were just temp fill ins for the show, that'd make the gripping ones a screw job to people because those look like the 5 finger ALIENS hands previously released.
