Hot Toys Giger Alien

I am so happy to finally see this. Its probably my number 1 most anticipated figure. Theres a few things I'm worried about but I think the overall excitment of finally seeing it is stopping me from complaining for now.
Kane and Dallas are amazing figures so to finally have this to go with them is awesome.

People need to start buying Kane and Dallas again now so hot toys get the hint that we want ripley and lambert ( or everybody if they like )!.

Alien is just one of those movies that can't be lost in time. Its spawned another 5 sequels , probably more to come and has inspired alot of other awesome ( and not so awesome ) movies. The atmosphere of it and the build up to all the awesome scenes is unforgettable !.
I need to start selling some stuff soon... all this alien stuff this week thats been shown and announced !.

One of the defining designs on Giger's Alien were it's hands.

Come on Hot Toys...you took the time to listen to what your Pred fans had to say about the original Pred.
Especially considering your LESS THAN STELLAR reputation with the Alien figures so far.

Did you just decide to say "FOOK THE ALIEN FANS!!"?

yeah,the bust looks bad in the official pics,then …… really bad when it's released. I don't think HT will change the sculpt.they did not change the skull of bust,and they will not change this time.

I have faith hot toys will change the sculpts if thats what most fans want but even if they don't I don't care personally.... I just want an alien to go with kane and dallas..
and for those of you who don't like it theres always the medicom I guess , its not in scale with kane and dallas but I think its the closest to it in figure form.
I collect 1/6 never expecting full accuracy even if I should be. Hell.. even the cinemaquette isn't accurate but I still bought it. I guess I just buy anything alien regardless.

Well, all this outcry isn't for naught - HT does listen so all you fans should inundate them with emails and bombard their facebook page with your usual comments. But, maybe wait for the official pics first?

I don't think there was as much attention when the bust was revealed, at least, nowhere near as much as a 1/6 figure, so have a little faith.

Yeah but...seriously....i'm not an accuracy freak...but ^^^^ING HELL LOOK AT THAT GODAWFUL HEAD...I mean it doesnt look ANYTHING like ANY Alien in ANY of the films. WTF is that? I mean....good god. I never ^^^^^ed about any of HT's figures like this...but man, this is inexcusible.

Maybe I just don't care.. , this figure was probably more anticipated than the original predator , it just seems theres never enough alien fans complaining with hot toys so they probably don't see the need for change in anything.
We all need to send emails !. Someone who knows what there talking about write something up with the changes needed and we should all simply copy and past it in an email to them.

Ugh, there's no teaching patience with some people. Well, the knee-jerk reactions do signify how much some people want this character.

I can understand where there coming from. There were things requested by fans for the bust to be changed ... which never were.... the dog alien... which never were... and probably the avp stuff... which never was as far as I'm aware.
Did the aliens figure have complaints and things that people wanted changing before it was released , or just afterwards when people saw what hot toys could really do ?.

The more accurate the better but either way I'm getting this.
There was a few things wrong with kane and dallas too which got them a few complaints and they were never changed too I don't think.

The head is the only part I care about. Which is why I was so harsh on the NECA, and Medicom. Medicom has a great dome, but a piss poor dome/head.

NECA has a GREAT mouth, but a somewhat off dome.

Is it really that hard to make the mouth look like this?

Those people did it....and really wTF is with the eyes?

I mean hell....the mouth IS the most important piece of the Alien. Because thats pretty much all you see. Close ups of the mouth.

I'm just so mad that they got the most important thing wrong. I mean, this isnt a petty thing like "OMG TEH SHOULDERS R TOO BIG!" or "HAY....DA RIPS ARENT 1.4 INCHES APART!" this is The Alien's Mouth. The head, and mouth MAKE the creature.

It's interesting that the HCG alien bust and this figure have similarly large upper lips. I wonder if there's a connection somewhere.

Well , Icruise may be on to something , as unlikely as it may be perhaps theres actually something stopping them from doing it right.
