Exactly. Hell, I'd take a Porkins before Krennic. Dude was not that interesting of a character

Who the hell is Porkins? Only a fatso would pick that over Krennic. There is not comparison in screen time or importance when it comes to this Porkins and Krennic.

But the Special Edition Porkins had those cool added accessories that would be great in 1/6.

What is cool about Krennic is that we get a very unique SW villain. He is motivated by trying to rise up the ranks through the contributions he makes to the Empire's arsenal. He is also very much connected to the greater SW lore since the Death Star is in pretty much 3 films (I'm including Starkiller Base) and we all know he helped develop that technology. I don't know. I thought the whole thing was great. You know they are going to make as many SW movies as they can...this one I think was done well and added a lot to the SW lore.

Yeah, you should have seen him before he rose up through the ranks.

Except that Porkins is a minor character in Star Wars while Krennic is a big guy in a glorified fan fiction. :monkey3

I love Krennic (and would do a hostile takeover of the HT offices to get them to do a Krennic) but it is a question - whether he will ever be an iconic SW character, cherished by fans in years to come (the way say Veers is.)

Porkins - as miniscule as his role is - is a part of SW lore and I guess is in some ways "iconic" the way so many tiny characters in the SW OT are. It's a fascinating question - TFA makes $2 billion globally but will anyone obsessively cherish Finn/Kyloe/Rey (or maybe more compellingly, Krennic/Jyn/Cassian for that matter) in 20 years time? Only time will tell.

Time Will tell? No need to wait 20 years. Of course he will be iconic. By then crusty old nerds will be dead or in nursing homes so they won't be pushing the anything after the original trilogy is crap theory.

How many movie remakes have been iconic and the originals got completely into oblivion? Yeah, new Dredd is much better than Stallone Dredd, The Fly and The Thing from the 80's as opposed to the 50's ones, and there are a few others for sure. But none of these had the impact Original Trilogy had on the pop culture and the society itself. I liked Rogue One, but it is insignificant to the power of the Original Trilogy. And will remain so forever.

Not sure if anyone has posted this pic yet? Found it on Yoda's News.

Now that is a good photo !

Agreed Wor-Gar, can't allow those young whippersnappers over there on the PT Anakin thread to beat the OT threads :)

Just keeping this afloat and adding page count. I don't want PT Anakin to have more pages.

Yeah I'm surprised that figure is so popular. I'm over the PT films. I would like a high quality maul (not sideshow quality at hot toys price), jinn, and ROTS obi wan before I would want anakin.
