The 5 pack is going to be a grand at those clips. HT apologists have fun rationalizing that one.

Perhaps buying Groot is supporting the environment. Rocket is an endangered species. Everyone wins a medal. Woopie!!

With these 2 characters it will be either both or neither for me. I always was hoping I could pose rocket on Groot so this is definitely everything I wanted with these two. Now show me an awesome Star Lord please and all will be good .

I would like to get them both because they are so unique but $450 is a bit much...and yes I would love to see Starlord too!

I don't know why, but looking at Groot makes me long for a 1/6 chewbacca (sculpted fur that is)...lol

It would be awesome but with 2 brand new sculpts with probable little re-use. I can see the high price point.

whoa! are you sure they're are not dollar prices

I'm sure but all the retailers that sell Hot Toys in my country and neighbouring countries often change the currency without paying attention to the different values of those currencies. So I wouldn't be surprised if the prices are the same. (so Groot 195 dollars, Rocket 145 dollars and 2-pack: 320 dollars.)

I'm definitely POing Rocket. If the 2 pack is around $300 I might spring for that, don't care much for Groot but for a lil over $100 extra why not.

This is an extra bit of terrific news. That's Viva Lai, and this morning it was announced that he's joined Hot Toys. Viva did the original Ace Ventura with Asmus a few years back (the one their current release struggles to recreate). He has also done a Tony Stark that actually looks like RDJ, and I think it's safe to say they've found a way to sell more IM figures.

Well lookie lookie what I found here. I wonder what references he used that made him sculpt the head to the comic book proportions. XD

You can see the sculptor has a neutral expression sculpt of rocket in his hands. I bet there's another version in a different suit.

I love it! I still prefer the characters in individual looks. I imagine the more uniformed look will either be released later or for the next movie. This gives them somewhere to go. I wouldn't be too surprised if we saw more than one Rocket.

It'd be interesting to see a whole Hot Toys line backfire after they put time into developing and marketing it.
