I dunno, I like the figure but I think plastic/diecast like the Iron Man figures would have worked better but I’m optimistic that the final figure will look great.

I think a spiderman made like IM would have just looked like IM with a spiderman paint job. There would be gaps in the joints and thats fine IM but not for Spidey.

It needs to be able to do this-

I’d be ok with visible joints if that meant I could pose it without damaging the suit.

I loved the suit in the movie. But as this is probably just a one-off variant... I find those harder to pull the trigger on these days. Not that every costume isn't KIND of a one-off variant, of course. But I have the Homecoming figure and I'm pretty happy with that being my Spidey for now.

They could’ve made this like they did Bones suit. Don’t see why not? Could’ve been a cheaper figure if it had all joints with no body needed.

I feel the same. I get not wanting that for a classic suit like the Tech suit, but for an armored suit that’s probably a one off, what’s the harm? If it looked like the HT Iron Man suits, I’m sure the joints wouldn’t be too noticeable and you’d avoid the inevitable creasing.

That would be amazing if it was built like an IM figure. The Mark L shows they can hide joints really well.

I think the light up head looks awesome and so tempting but the material for the body is what is preventing me from ordering. It will either flake/peel or crease up or both. It does look cool but not worth the money if it will not even last till the next avengers movie.

I'm scared of the same thing but would Hot Toys release a figure if the majority of them would essentially peel/flake so soon? The most recent figure that comes to mind with that kinda issue is Deadpool and they did address it. But I have to believe they wouldn't release it unless the material would last for some time. Especially since they know fans will try more dynamic poses with Spidey. Or maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I already ordered it so I'll just deal with it lol

I totally feel you, someone posted in the Ironman IW thread that Hot toys wants to change the material. Hopefully they will change it, the material used in the prototype is just like the Arkham Knight Batman. Overall I think the Batman figure is stunning, I have it in my collection but I only leave it in a museum pose because of the material. I honestly think this material is the wrong decision for Spiderman IW version.

Here is the original post.

This is news to me, so I apologize if its been said... I'm not going back and checking every spoiler tagged post. I don't think this needs a tag.

So apparently there was an interview with howard where he said Iron Man mk 50 would likely come with more accessories than previously shown? I feel like that was likely anyway, but if true at least we can stop whining about the price.

I came across this screen shot... I'm not going to look for/watch the video because I wouldn't be able to understand it anyway.

Hot Toys only cares about making that $$$, not whether something is long-lasting. As far as they care, if it doesn’t last long then you can buy another one.

As soon as the recent RoboCop/Ed-209 figures were announced, it was almost a universal cry of “don’t use rubber, don’t use the same rubber, we don’t want cracking issues like before, please make sure it doesn’t happen.” Three guesses as to what happened.

I am not getting this because the Iron Spiderman in the movie had a seamless transition from neck to head. This figure doesn't. With the material they used this could have been easily accomplished but they decided to offer switch out heads for the dolly players.
