Minus the Megatron Canon, the Hypervelocity armor is not that bad actually.

It actually is a pretty neat design IMO :

I would really love to see Hot Toys take on this one.

Yeah I was going to say I think it's based on the stealth armor concept art from the first film.

Here's some better pics, actual mark IV armor:

Mark VI armor in toy form, seems like an only slightly modified mark IV

The mostly silver suit is according to the toy labeling the Mark V. So it looks like the mark VI is the mark IV with mark V parts incorporated.

i'd definitely get a war machine. absolutely bada$$!

as for iron man, id wait to see which mark design is the coolest.

I want a Mark IV like the real picture above. I don't really like the triangle arc reactor, and I haven't gotten any of the other HT Iron Man figures, so that would be ideal for me. I'll be getting War Machine of course. That's gonna be one bad*** figure.

The Deep Dive Armor is also based on conceptual armor from the first film that was never used. The Mark IV and the Mark VI look exactly the same only with the a different chest plate. Which has me believe that the Mark IV takes damage, needs repair and in the interrim he must use the Mark V. The logical thing to do would be to release a Mark IV with an interchangable chest plate to make it the Mark VI but HOT will probably create both for sale.

Rumors are that we are getting Mark 4, Mark 5, Mark 6 Iron Men, War Machine and the Drone. Mark 5 supposedly if the internet rumors are to believed is a specialized suit to help against Whiplash to counterbalance the effects of the whips which can destroy parts and pieces via contact and then the Mark 6 is the next progression where its incorporated within the original suit template. Now, these are just internet rumors so take them with a barrel of salt but let's hope there is an actual explanation behind the three suits in this one.

Definitely would be great if HT make all the Iron Man Mk 4, 5, 6, War Machine & Drone. Would keep HT busy for the whole of next year.
Thanks Mike for the MK 5 info.

Look like the Iron Man Suit Concept 6 is the War Machine.
Cheer!

Actually, the Mark VI also has slightly different arms and forearms.
And I'm not 100% sure that the abdomen area has exactly the same profile on both armors.

Well some aspects of the mark VI seem slightly different in the arm and abdomen area between the mark IV real armor and the mark VI toy but I think that might be more an artifact of it being a toy and some of the details changing to accommodate it being a manufactured toy or just due to lack of exact replication.

Like the lack of plate lines on the mark VI toy's biceps or the larger number of abdomen sections.

Nope you'd be wrong. Originally the War Machine was a component that was placed over the Mark 2 and was called the Mark 3 to use in a fight against Iron Monger with it being heavily damaged and Tony moving on to the traditional Red/Gold as the Mark 4. That is why Saunders conceptuals look layered because it was an actual suit attachment. The script or at least idea (since Bridges claims there actually was no script) changed about the time Saunders concepts were rejected. He has admitted via his website that his concept is not going to be used in Iron Man 2 and that Favreau started from scratch, now since both Saunders concept and the new War Machine were completely inspired from the Comic Book design they look the same but Saunders stuff (all of it) was rejected from the finalized form of course that doesn't stop Hasbro...

Not sure since the only shots of the Mark 6 are from the Toys we don't know how accurate any of it is. If there is differences though it guarantees two figures from Hot Toys.

I'm interested to see if we'll see Whiplash v1 done in Hot Toys form...they definitely have the body for it and the tattoos would be cool but would people plunk down $150 for Rourke?

i would i think its a cool design and to have a bad guy in 1/6th scale form would be good to have

True, but we know Black Widow is a lock with them offering a Scarlett sculpt already and if Favreau is serious and there is an final version of Whiplash all armored I wonder if people would wait for that one.

I know I'm sold on a final version of Whiplash(should there be one), but not so much on a plain Rourke with electro jump ropes. Although I guess it would look good displayed with the HT Mech Test Starks

that would be a good way of displaying it, like showing not only the evolution of Starks suits but of Whiplash too
