I'm interested to see if we'll see Whiplash v1 done in Hot Toys form...they definitely have the body for it and the tattoos would be cool but would people plunk down $150 for Rourke?

All depends on how his character comes across on screen... before Revenge of the Sith came out, I was ready to buy anything and everything Grievous. Then, well... I saw the movie, LOL.

Whiplash is still gonna be greatly outnumbered. I think he should think about teaming up with the Joker.

I'll be sticking with just Iron Man/Stark... although I might get a War Machine. I'll love to see both Whiplash's made and I'm sure they'd have no trouble selling them but I have too pick and choose these days.

Anything armored is a lock for me to own. Black Widow as well because with the eventual Avengers she'll fit in nicely even if she isn't in the film. The Whiplash v1 though is a crap shoot it'll depend on when everything else ships.

It depends what characters are made to 1:6 scale but War Machine is a definate buy while everything else is a wait-and-see.

Yes this is whiplashes first suit, later on he gets a 'Mark 2' type suit

Yeah I think that is very much his mark I armor as he uses it to escape prison in a similar fashion to how Stark uses his to escape the 10 Rings. This is rumored to be the design for his mark II. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bit different than this in the film though. It's also how he appeared in a tie-in comic.

A Whiplash v2 costume similar to this would definitely be worthy of a purchase. At this rate, the Whiplash shown in the poster is up for consideration since there is a billion IM figs and no villain (at this point).

An Entertainment Weekly I got a few weeks back had pics of him...Mickey Rourke looked like he walked off the set of the wrestler, put on some hobo clothes, hung an arc reactor on his chest and called it a day
