Finally got mine today. Its beyond words. There have been some amazing pics here, but nothing compaires to having it in person. It is mind blowing! All of the little bits of armor moving is outstanding! Even standing up straight with his arms at his sides is a sweet pose. Pure awesomeness! :rock

Really can't wait to get the Jericho suit so I can display Tony with him!

My Mark III arrived today and while my opinion of it is generally high, there are some nitpicks I want to mention.

*The light up function for the eyes/chest didn't work right out of the box. I hope it's just because of weak batteries and not busted LEDS. I don't have any extra button AG9 batteries on hand so I'll try again after buying a pack of them tonight. The repulsor leds work great.

*The finish on the armor isn't as shiny and glossy as many photos led me to believe. I wouldn't go so far as to call it dull, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Under normal indoor lighting it is underwhelming. Under outdoor lighting it's quite nice.

*A small rub mark on his face (Iron Man' mask, I mean) that I can't get rid of. ARRGH!

I love this figure, it's well engineered, but there are some quality control issues that I ran into. Nothing that bad though. I'm now really excited for my Mark II, which should arrive next week.

There's some plastic stuck into the battery compartment that you have to remove first (this is so that it doesn't waste electricity in shipment)

It really surprises me that quite a lot of members here haven't even got their mark 3 yet!

Mine's been taking the back seat of my display shelf for quite some time now.

I ought to be more grateful :D

I waited for sideshow because of there great price and if there is something wrong with it I can return it no questions asked and yes SIDESHOW points.

Yea, the points are what keeps me going Direct even if I could save $10 or $20. Points are getting me Vader for $35 bucks and I plan on doing something similar by the end of the year.

Okay managed to get a new pack of batteries to replace the ones pre-installed and...

The lights work! Thank goodness it wasn't a malfunctioned LED. I would have hated to have to send the figure back. Phew!

yup it was seven something but it came out to 14 something, this is my first time ordering from ss but I heard about this before.
As if I wasn't frustrated enough with them already, in the end it would have only cost me $10 more to get the thing from Toys2 and have it in hand 1-2 months ago

Glad to hear it. What kind of batteries are they? I might pick up a spare set just to have on hand before Friday just in case.

You'll need 3 AG9 (or equivalent models 394 or 936A, etc) button batteries for Iron Man's eyes/chest.

For the arms you'll need 3 AG1 batteries for each arm.
