Strong buys for me - Brosnan from Goldeneye, Connery from whatever as long as he looks dapper, DB5 from Jazzinc which they’ll make at some point after they shift from Batman.

The first Bond film I ever saw was on television when I was a young kid -- The Spy Who Loved Me -- which I watched with my family. Roger Moore *was* Bond for me for a good long time although my next film was Thunderball.

I really enjoyed Craig in the role but agree Casino Royale was the best.

I was just wondering…

Has anyone considered the idea that Hot Toys’ new 007 license is for… a _new_ 007?

Legal snarls aside, we know the film producers are prepping a new film and recruiting a new star.

Aren’t Hot Toys more likely to issue figures promoting newer films than legacy characters?

Just wondering…

Given Eon’s really hands on, restrictive approach to these sorts on things I would say absolutely not.

Wich Goldeneye characters we might see? Bond, Alec and Xenia?
Obviously a big “if”…but I do think HT is savvy enough to try and wow us with the first offering. I doubt a tux’d Bond will be their first offering.

The NTTD Bond look certainly has recency bias working for it, but unless he’s loaded with accessories and REALLY well done, I don’t see it being that popular. I’m a huge Bond fan and, on balance, I’m mostly lukewarm on Craig stuff. There are some great sequences and CR is very solid, but felt more Bourne than Bond (this seems to have happened post ~2005 with the Bournefication of characters like Bond, Jack Ryan, Alex Cross, etc.)

So - to answer you - I think either the Dam sequence or Cuba sequence make for strong opening contenders. This would hit the nostalgia factor and also the large but somewhat obscured community of 1/6 military buyers. Throw in the accessories of the mines, watch with laser attachment, etc. and it’s a big win out of the gate.

New Bond hasn't been cast yet. Film is likely years off.

The good news is when the film does come out, Hot Toys will make figures.

Legacy character of course… if only Hot Toys had done this for Jack Sparrow but nah, cheapos had to renew DMTNT license instead.
